Update: We ate breakfast here today. I had the chicken and waffles and scrambled eggs which were very good. Waiter suggested, so Hubby had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese which he said was very good. They were out of Cream puff desserts so purchased a large chocolate chip cookie and it was fresh and very good as well. Parking is very limited in front of building but there is parking around the back.
We picked up lunch today of 2 orders of fried chicken and waffles and a BLT with fries, and a slice of German chocolate cake, chocolate icebox cake, Cream puff and Apple pie. The waffles were excellent. The fried chicken was well seasoned including the flour batter but the chicken was not cleaned but was full of fat. Cleaned all the fat off each piece and them enjoyed the chicken. BLT sandwich with fries that were seasoned very good. Customer service was great! Food was very good except excess fat on chicken. Desserts were all very good. We will return again and would definitely recommend.

Came here for brunch with some friends and had a great time. The servers are super friendly, helpful and ours had the funniest personality. We started with some nachos which surprised us a little bit as they had gravy but they were delicious, definitely a great way to start our meal. We also had the hibiscus mimosas which were amazing! I had the two piece chicken meal and got their spicy chicken with mac n cheese and a salad. The meal also comes with a biscuit which was homemade and a little crusty on the outside with a nice fluffy inside. The chicken has a great spice level and it's fried perfectly with a nice crispy skin and juicy meat. Reminded me of how my grandma made fried chicken. Everyone else ordered the waffles and chicken and really enjoy their meals and complimented the fresh waffles.

I was looking for a good meal away from the river walk where the locals ate. The fried chicken and desserts.Oh man must try. Got the spicy it was a good spice. Mashed potatoes were fresh typical mashed potatoes gravy was good. Mac n cheese unique flavor little tight for my taste. I like my make and cheese warm creamy , the flavors were good service was good quaint out of the river walk hustle spot worth getting a good price worthy home style meal. We will visit again when we return.

Ok so I wanted a salad. My grown son says hey there's a restaurant at the Pearl, it's super good, I'm sure they have salad. They do.... its a side salad... it was good. Let's discuss this calorie ridden deliciousness pictured below. This is the BEST burger I've ever had with the perfect fries. The chicken and waffles my son got was a piece of art, he ate through the bones. I'm sure there was not a morsel left. Then after the calorie fest he wants pie... PIE! Ok so all my calories in one meal. Yes we got key lime pie. It's so dreamy and smooth.
Go eat here. Just go. It's amazing.

An awesome salad that was ruined by what seemed to be Blue cheese salad dressing from Dollar General.
And the rest of the food was awesome, the fried mushrooms for me were super special, they reminded me of the ones at mamas.
Moreover, you have an awesome female server! Sorry, I forgot her name. If I remember correctly she said she only works the weekends, this was on Saturday evening before they closed 4-23-22…
awesome personality and service, San Antonio restaurants need servers like her.

Visiting S.A. and we always look for local places when traveling. So glad we found Earl Abel's. Great food, very cool atmosphere. Super friendly people. Loved the eclectic menu and drink options. Some of the best chicken we've ever had! A really refreshing take on a local dinner. You gotta check this place out.

Swung by during lunch and tried the turkey Cobb salad with the creamy chicken soup. The salad was fresh and much more filling than I expected and the soup was just what I needed on a chilly day. Couldn’t help but take home some key lime pie and banana pie. The key lime pie tasted like fresh limes and the banana pie was full of fresh bananas. Would definitely recommend!

Nice outdoor eating area… virus friendly. Staff is very helpful and the BLT is fabulous. Bakery items have happily remained iconic.

I liked the old location better. They had a bigger place and more options on the menu. The food was still great and so was the service. I was surprised by the paper plates. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals.

First thing is first, we were excited for this foodie meetup and proceeded to order the Bailey’s Frappuccino. The drink was truly delicious. Then, we ordered in it took five-ever (50 minutes plus) to get our food. When we got our food it was not correct and we had to send it back. We got a turkey club sandwich and asked for bacon on the side and add cheese. The cheese was shredded and melted on the bread. A piece of the pick that holds the pieces of sandwich together in the sandwich. Honestly, the food is meh and if you decide to visit get the Frapp. (They took off the sandwich from our check and gave us a 10% discount).
