I was very excited to try! But beware! This was my birthday dinner with my family, and I personally felt very unwelcome by the staff from the start. A somewhat pretentious atmosphere, for no reason, just rude! I’ve lived in France, all over the world, and I’ve never been treated this way. Especially on my birthday! Food was just okay, if that, definitely not worth going back. Not worth the negative environment. I personally recommend skipping this place!

Dinner was delicious. The bartender prepared a delicious Old Fashioned. The service was fantastic, everyone was very attentive. I will definitely bring more friends back.

Angela and Bistro09 were fantastic to work with! They accommodated all requests and the communication was timely. We were able to have a successful and professional presentation dinner program thanks to their hard work! They even turned down the atmospheric music when I was presenting. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Many compliments on the food too!

I came in June 29th at 8:30, had Scallop with wild rice and lobster on the Tonight Special menu, the dish was $42 dollar and all I could taste was salt. I didn't even finish the dish because it was so salty. My husband had the quail dish and it tasted good.
Somehow the chef just didn't taste the $42 dish before it left the kitchen....

Sazerac by Dom was perfection. The escargot was perfect, mussels were amazing and the summer blossom is a refreshing add.with a chocolate mouse finish. The bar is an atmosphere of its own. Highly recommend this Gem!

First time at Bistr09 and it was amazing! We went there to celebrate a birthday. The food was super delicious and the service was great! Also, the food portions are somehow bigger than what you expect at French restaurant. Will definitely be back! ????????

This is a high end restaurant. As such, it does not measure up.
Service is excellent. Decor is good, cleanliness is excellent. Food is hit and miss. Appetizer was excellent, main course, Pheasant, was a disappointment and the dessert, well... Let's just say I've made that same recipe out of Eating Well magazine and I make it much better. The mousse was fine, the berries were frozen and the cookie was burnt. Cocktail was okay.
$220 for that. Nope.
Skip it and skip it hard. You can get a lot more for a lot less in this town.

Un délicieux coin de paradis. Wow. A special treat for the senses. Beautiful understated surroundings. Wonderful staff, you will be hard pressed to find a staff that is this friendly. Great place to people watch. And then there is the food. Obviously created and prepared by kitchen magicians. PURE MAGIC. The pork loin scalloppini with truffle mushrooms and pasta. What? I shared this meal, its large enough, but dont. You will want this to yourself, the sauce is a treat. And dont leave without trying the escargot. Get extra bread, lots of it. You will want to run it through the sauce again and again with no shame. Both pates were also worth fighting over. And try one of their house specialty drinks. They are mixing incredible delights that will have you wishing you didn't have anything to do the next morning. This is not your run of the mill meal. This is not your run of the mill menu. It may be someplace our budget dictates only for special occasions. The up side...It will be special. Very.

What a beautiful experience. The blue point oysters brought my sleepy soul back to life, the dressing was absolutely scrumptious with the natural brine of the oysters. Bubbles were served cold and kept on ice. The Blanc de Blanc was delightful. The hostess and waiter were kind. I'd definitely come back for the Seared Foiegras with Apple and Duck Confit. My companion enjoyed their Grilled Quail with Parmesan Risotto and was also very impressed with Bistr09. If you are looking for a dinning experience to impress in San Antonio, Texas this French spot is my top recommendation.

Wow wow wow. I had the short ribs, the shrimp crepe, and the escargot. Whether you’re thinking about a date night, trying out a new spot, or just becoming a regular at a wonderful place this is it. The owner is super cool and his wife is the nicest person ever. You will probably meet them if you go.
