Five stars for our waitress and manager on being attentive and making sure we were good given that our Mac & Cheese appetizer came out very undercooked. After my second bite of one I realized I was eating cold cheese. Our waitress was on top of it and managed to get another order out in less than five minutes. We both ordered boneless wings. I do have to say the Honey Bourbon sauce is absolutely delicious! Another thing I was quite impressed with is that they actually do have Yuengling Lager here.

This review is based on our delivery experience with Anchor Bar. We have ordered delivery twice and each time have had issues. First time we got bone in wings when we ordered boneless and they blamed it on an app issue with how it is sent to their restaurant. This time they may have gotten the order right but they burnt/overcooked my tenders so much they are not edible. I had to split someone else’s meal. I suggest if you choose to eat here only do so on site as we have had pleasant experiences when eating there (hence not just 1 or 2 stars). They have about lost me as a customer. Photo is for reference of a boneless wing my husband ordered next to my tenders which were the same sauce. There is a reason they did not serve this in the restaurant but instead decided it was okay to give it to someone who ordered delivery.

I absolutely love wings and this place exceeded my expectations. I had the lemon pepper wings and buffalo lemon pepper wings(bone in of course) along with jerk bbq fries. While the regular lemon pepper wings were outstanding, the buffalo lemon pepper wings were next level. I can't wait to go back! The service was friendly and fast. Restaurant was clean and not too loud although I imagine if the Spurs were playing, it would be different. I highly recommend!

The good: they know how to cook a chicken wing. Perfectly cooked, falls off the bone. Sauce is good. The wings are as good as the original location in Buffalo New York. Get the tater tots. I also got a couple bonus wings in my order. I love errors in my favor!
The bad: the people working here couldn’t give to sense if you were there or not. Sadly, that is happening everywhere.
The Karen: I ordered one ranch and one blue cheese, and got two blue cheeses. Not a win or a loss in my book, just an observation. Karen would disapprove.

Chill atmosphere, good wings, & drinks. We enjoyed ourselves after a long week of packing. Staff was nice & friendly.

Horrible customer service experience. I'm from out of town and a friend brought us here (she had never been either she lives in San Antonio) We told waitress pizza was burnt and she replied "that's how it's supposed to be" that its supposed to be "charred". That is an unacceptable response!!. I am a food blogger so this was by far one of the worst experiences here. We also felt they were being racist towards my bf. We had a white waitress and black male server. Everyone's wings came out but his we had to remind them several times for them. If you're looking for GOOD pizza do NOT come to Anchor Bar

This place is trash they have open table’s and still have us waiting for a seat for 2 hours the waiter’s are rude straight ignored me when I asked for a booster for my 2 year old son THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS not only did it take an hour to get are food after we were seated but are wings came out cold and hard. Don’t bring your children here when it’s busy. the bar is the only this this place is good for save yourselves the trouble if your looking for a restaurant

Wings were tasty! A bit pricey, due to the "chicken shortage" surcharge. Would've liked to feel a bit more heat on my medium buffalo wings. I guess I should've gone with hot!

Went to watch the Bears game today. Everything was good except for the Bears! I was glad that they had a no alcohol beer option. I ordered the wings even though I knew they were going to be expensive. I was not disappointed with the wings at all. Got them with just salt and pepper, they were fried just right.
There were a couple of minor service issues, but nothing to really complain about on a game day.
Will definitely return, but will probably not get wings until the price goes back down.

We had a family date night and decided to come here. My daughter had been here for lunch and said that the wings were great and they were! We had the lemon pepper rubbed and the were really good????the fried mac n cheese bites were mouth watering ????. They have an outstanding fenced playground for kids with turf grass. My grandson had a ball. I recommend a nice cool adult beverage to go with the meal ????
