We had a great dinner. The ribeye steak was very flavorful. Love all the French wines!

We came here at 7:00 to celebrate my birthday . We ordered and all the plates in our order were served at the same time - appetizer, salad , main course. They then began cleaning as we were eating in order to close at 9:00 PM. No coffee and dessert were offered, just the bill was produced. Unprofessional and bad service, not even the entrecôte was done well. This was a waste of time and money.

Haven't been to Cafe Rabelais in years. Thought I would read current reviews to decide, so not very sure about it. I wish I knew the age of the reviewers. If under 40 then I can not trust their taste. Probably not very refined taste buds so only option is to go myself. Maybe at lunch. After several disappointing experiences this year at different restaurants, I think I will do what my crass second husband use to do for service. He would put a stack of one dollar bills on the table and tell the server that every time service was bad, he would take away a dollar. We got good service!

I had never even heard of this place but what a great find! Very comfortable atmosphere inside and out, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was great! The wine selection was also excellent! Definitely will be coming back.

My husband and I were looking forward to eating at this restaurant as we both love French food. The ambiance is very nice, cozy and romantic. We went last night, a Thursday, we had reservations for 7:15pm. We were seated right away but only to be forgotten for almost 30 minutes with just menus and water. The waitresses, though very nice, did not seem professional and looked lost. When we finally got our order taken it took them almost 10 minutes to bring us our bottle of wine. We ordered escargot which was great, garden salad, it was good, and rack of lamb. This last one as you can see int he picture attached, had great presentation, the lamb and sauce was delicious but it was a bit cold. It seems the chef put out the plate and it was forgotten there for a while. The mashed potatoes were bad. Also when the waitress brought our main course she only brought one plate, when we had ordered two. My husband then told her we had ordered two racks of lamb. Fortunately they already had another plate ready in the kitchen so she brought it right out. So bottom line we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the food is good but not great and the service we experienced was terrible. I hesitate to say don’t go there because the place has its qualities. In our case nothing is calling us to go back.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Came in on a Wednesday night and it was fairly easy to get a table. We ordered the smoked salmon as an appetizer, it was really good. We split the grilled chicken sandwich which was great as well. Very fresh vegetables. They have lots of wine and a few beers. We will be back with more time to eat a proper dinner. Desert looked great as well.

Came here for the restaurant weeks menu. There were lots of options, but one surprising one. First though the wine selection is awesome. My wife had a white blend that was awesome. It was one of the less expensive ones (Chateaux La Rose du Pin). I had a red wine that was very good too, but that white blend was great. Made me wish I had chosen it. Like I said we had the Restaurant Weeks menu. But we perused the regular menu and the prices are not outrageous here. I saw several entrees that I have paid more for at other places. I definitely recommend a reservation as the restaurant is small.

Classic bistro food like croque monsieur, steak frites, mussels, salads and some nice desserts. The all French wine list has good and reasonably priced selections, also has several pages explaining the different wine regions in France and wine tasting tips. Good service, wine specials at lunch offer a good value.

Great little french cafe! The staff is superb and the food is excellent. We love to come here for lunch when shopping. There is limited seating, but we haven't had too much trouble getting a table, but they are packed pretty tight. Their selection of french wines is quite good.

Went here for our anniversary. Couldn't have asked for a better place. We love the feel and pace of European style restaurants and this place was exactly that. No rushed waitress hurrying us along, very comfortable and relaxing. The food was amazing and there was an extensive wine list.
