I absolutely LOVE this place. The service is always amazing and literally every single thing here tastes delicious! I also often purchase the weekly dinners they other and they are so tasty. I've had a few issues with hair being in my dessert and pastry,(hey, it happens) but they ALWAYS make it right. They people are wonderful, the food is fantastic... I have been trying to get their early enough to get some of their breads too, but they always seem to sell out, so I definitely have to make a bigger effort to get their early. It can get very crowded, but 100% understandably so. You won't regret coming here. It's a hidden gem!

I've searched all over San Diego county and this place has the most authentic, delicious French baked goods. I actually met a French person who confirmed my finding when she let me know she frequents this bakery despite it being far from where she lives and works. Thank you French Oven for being a great French bakery with your fresh, delicious food and drinks and great service.

The ham and cheese croissant is delicious. I don't usually get this type of breakfast so I can't compare it to other places. But the almond croissant was kinda dense and not flaky and fluffy inside. It was a good flat croissant and I had much better. The prices are a little high like almost double compared to my go to bakery closer to home which is more superior in quality. People were standing in line out the door here so its worth a try.

Had a blueberry danish, and a RAC, which is a croissant with chocolate, almond and raspberry I think. Those both were good and worth the money. And those two pastries alone would bring me back to this place. But their fruit tart is what slaps harder than your mommy when you're acting a fool at church.

Would definitely order three tarts next time I go, one for each hand and one for the road.

Tried almost everything from the menu at this hidden gem tucked inside Scripps Ranch. Haven't gotten disappointed yet. Servers are friendly. Outdoor seating only. Lines can get long during peak times, but worth the wait. The best R.A.C. (Raspberry Almond Croissant) in San Diego!

Came here for the first time. Got iced cafe latte, which was a bit watery, but then tried the pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The pastries were amazing. Probably one of the best pastry places I've tried in San Diego. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place.

This is only the 2nd time I have been here and I love the food and the atmosphere here. Located in a small group of stores in the Scripps Ranch community, The French Oven is truly a find.

With a variety of French desserts and pastries, there is something for everyone! I came here for lunch after a nearby home inspection and realized I will not be home for dinner tonight. The breakfast sandwich was calling me for lunch. My preference would have been for the veggie one but they were out so I have the regular. It was delicious!

I grabbed a salad for dinner and of course I had to ground one of the fruit tarts for dessert. There is not a sweet I do not like LOL

I have several past clients living in this neighborhood and I am planning on inviting them here for breakfast or lunch real soon now that we are safe to go out again!
