Really tasty bakery. Flakey pastry, friendly staff, clean place. Ordered a second Cubano pastry because it was so good. We walked from ocean beach. Pleasant walk.

Delightful in every way. Coffee, pastries, savory bites, atmosphere. You will not regret it one bit. One of my favorite meals of a ten day trip. Guava scone is something I wish I could find locally. The coffee was delicious, and my only regret is not remembering what all the delicious things I ordered were called. Will recommend to anyone traveling to San Diego, regardless of if they are near Ocean Beach.

Last night I spent $160 at a fancy Italian restaurant. This morning I spent $20 at a Cuban bakery called azucar. The bakery was magnitudes better as far as tasty food and service.

I'm only sad that it wasn't 11a yet so I could try the sandwiches. Guess I'll have to revisit San Diego, oh well.

We had the Cuban pie, 5/5 (like a Cuban sandwich with flaky sweetness added in). Some sort of gluten-free Chia coconut banana muffin, which was killer. The guava cheese pastry was the best of its kind I've ever had (grew up in south Florida). Cortadito was nice-- always a bit too sweet for me but they were happy to do half sugar.

The prices are even fair.

I love Azucar.

So good! Guava cheese pastry is yummy. Pistachios de limon is good too. Parking can be limited during the weekend.

Delicious. I had the dulce de leche macchiato, guava cheese pastry, and toffee oatmeal cookie. I would have all three again happily :) baked goods were soft even at 3 pm

The biggest problem that you will have here, is deciding which dessert to get. Everything looks super tasty. Forget about a diet when you go here, just indulge and enjoy.

1st time here and will not be the last . The double espresso cuban style , the desserts and the cubano all delicious .

As Bourdain said many times , go to where the locals are or something close to that .

the Pumpkin flan was beautiful and sooo delicious !! everything was creatively stunning but side note: don't get the iced chai tea, it was the worst, definitely not up to par with everything else presented

Come one come all to a beautiful haven for cuban pattiserie! Wonderfully designed pastries worth the look as much as the taste! Located in a great part of ocean beach. Ample parking and fast, informed quality service. Both treats and staff are here*

This was the highlight of my trip to San Diego! I’m so bummed we found this fantastic place on our last day. I was able to taste the quesitos, the pastries with guava, the pastelitos, had a delicious cafe con leche and last but not least the cubano sandwich! Everything was phenomenal!!! Seriously my favorite spot from my trip! I was able to bring some pastries back home, all the way to the east coast and had my friends and hubby try the guava pastries, they loved it! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Everything about this place is wonderful.
