Very swanky. Top notch service with a smile. Food and drinks were fantastic.
There's several parking lots in the area but I decided to use the valet service which was convenient.
This place is all about atmosphere.
I really enjoy going upscale and Steak 48 is definitely upscale. Want to be treated like royalty well this is the place. This was my 1st time visiting and won't be my last.
The manager was very nice. He goes from table to table checking to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves.
Great job Steak 48

Had a fantastic experience at Steak48! Decided to visit for an early dinner with friends and was very impressed.
The restaurant is beautiful with a classic steakhouse vibe and expensive finishes. The menu similarly is classic steakhouse options. We ordered a seafood tower, steaks, sides, and scallops in addition to a few rounds of drinks. Everything was delicious! The seafood tower was particularly fun, with incredibly large shrimp and fantastic west coast oysters.
The steaks of course were also excellent.
It was a very expensive meal, and I likely wouldn't return except for a special occasion, but it was a great time.

I made reservations at this location for my husbands birthday (May 2022). This was my first time making a reservation with a credit card but upon arriving and being seated I could understand.
The decor was nice with nice lighting for ambience; once the sunset the automatic shades where drawn for a very nice effect????????. We arrived on time and had a small wait (4-6min) which wasn’t a bother but it’s always nice to have your table ready when it has been reserved. The two (female) hostess’s were very pleasant and there were some wait staff standing by to escort us to our table once it was ready which was nice.
Our waitress (can’t remember her name, but it sounds like a vacation) was a fabulous young lady who gave our table just the right amount of attention without being stalkerish and that was wonderful for us. Her, and her team of assistants were very nice, polite, smiled and made eye contact and had brief and pleasant conversation which was appropriate and made the dining experience great. A small amount of banter is welcomed and refreshing.
The food was amazing, although my steak was not cooked the way I asked the first but management did take charge and corrected the error as if it had never happened. The manager also came to the table and told my husband “Happy Birthday” and checked to ensure we were satisfied with the meal (very much so ????). We also ordered a Beignet Tree for dessert and they were good but not as good as Grand Luxe Cafe unfortunately.
The bathrooms were clean and there wasn’t trash laying about which means they are attended to regularly and that is appreciated.
My visit was great….but, a large, very loud group was seated directly behind my table adjacent from the bar up a few stairs by the windows and it dampened the great vibe we had for the greater part of our visit. It wouldn’t have been as bad if they weren’t soooo close with our chairs touching as if we were in violation of the Fire code seeming extremely overcrowded. It was very uncomfortable. Others than that and the fact that the upscale dress code is not enforced, it was a good visit and a great dinner with amazing service.
We hope to visit again soon, hopefully the dress code will be in effect by then.

My husband and I just completed our dining experience here and the service was exceptional. Food was properly timed all wait staff were incredibly courteous. However, when we entered the restaurant for our dinner reservation, we were sat in the lounge, we requested to be moved to the main dining area. When we were moved we were told that a table had just opened up and that people are sat according to notes in the reservation. It was a birthday dinner for two, we did not request to eat in a lounge. The appetizers were awesome, the environment was relaxed, the dress code, questionable. Dessert was phenomenal. My lamb chops left much to be desired the rack came with 8 pieces I ate 1 the flavor profile was just not quite right. I spoke with our server and manager about the lamb as it was the only part of the meal that I didn’t enjoy, they apologized and offered free dessert. Overall pretty average restaurant in Philly but if you do go, avoid the famous stairs and focus on truly enjoying the experience with servers like Lana and waitstaff assistant Naffis.

We loved this place.
The food was absolutely amazing, we had 2 waiters and 1 waitress and they were very attentive. Side entrees were huge. I asked them to spread roses on the table so it could be romantic and they did just that. Bill was expensive of course but that’s to be expected.
Will definitely return many, many times.

Took my husband for his birthday, and I must say, I was a little discouraged by the reviews. But I'm so glad I took a chance and made reservations anyway. The restaurant itself was elegant. The design, staircase, the glass, and lighting were beautiful. I absolutely loved the open kitchen...it added so much character and personality to the restaurant. Let's talk FOOD! ???? I must say the appetizers were my favorite! I would go back just for the apps! My husband and I weren't crazy over the steaks, but the apps definitely made up for the lack luster steaks. Also the beignets were quite good.
Might I add that paying $300+, we would have liked to have enjoyed our steaks more. ????

Amazing service and food from beginning to end! Phil, our waiter was incredible and made great recommendations. The table stayed cleared. Kelly was also amazing. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Steak 48 for an amazing experience.
