I would rate this restaurant a 0 star if that was an option. The waitress was rude and require that everyone order. We had two children out of 6 that didn’t want sushi but she required for us to order for them too. So if you have a baby, and come here, you’ll have to order raw fish for the baby too.

Make sure none of your friends will come to join after you are seated because they won't let them in! We were 3 and we were seated in a table for 4, but when a colleague came to join us, they wont even let her sit on the 4th chair in the table. They said it is their policy and it does not make sense! There is no logic to this rule.

Went for restaurant week, didn’t know what to expect bc I couldn’t find their menu anywhere, but here it is. After we were seated we weren’t even offered the RW menu and had to ask for it. When I ordered the server double checked that I was aware this was a DIY hand roll dish and for some reason it felt like they were warning me not to order it. I didn’t expect much but still ordered it out of curiosity, and it definitely was as disappointing as expected lol. The portion size definitely was not worth the price, and neither was the quality of food. It was $59, just a reminder. My friend ordered a chirashi don and felt exactly the same way. Won’t be coming again for the overpriced low quality food.

Terrible customer service and mediocre food. I ordered two a la carte rolls— not only was I charged for a maki combo that I never asked for, but I also was overcharged for it. The menu says $16.50 but I was charged $19.50! Then +$1 for a hand-roll? Ridiculous. On top of that, I’ve never seen a smaller soup and salad in my life. The chirashi was also very bland, no seasoned rice like traditional chirashi. I was taken advantage of and it wasn’t even worth it. I will never go back.

Oh man — we were completely blown away with this restaurant. We just saw this while walking around the area, not knowing what to expect. We were just really craving for Japanese food. Needless to say, we are SO happy we chose this restaurant for dinner. The prices were surprisingly wallet-friendly, given the freshness and quality of the food. Each bite was just SO GOOD. The service was very fast, and the server was so friendly and accommodating. I honestly can’t think of anything bad about this restaurant. I can’t wait to eat here again!

This might be my most favorite Japanese restaurant in the city. Not only they have huge variety of food but Every single dish is amazing and authentic. The venue is very spacious and had no problem fitting in even with twins stroller or with big group. They also has outside seating so that would be perfect in the nice day.
If you are looking for real authentic Japanese restaurant, this is it. Reasonable and perfect for all occasion with all size of groups.

Great sushi in midtown east. Reliably fresh ingredients, simple presentation of dishes, decent portion sizes (not large). Dinner combo is the best - $29 to pick 4 small plates and one 6-piece roll.
They also have a special weekend appetizer menu where small plates are only $6.
Standard tables and private rooms available, but I’ve found that service is slower when in a private room.

Great meal all around. 3 different areas to eat sushi bar omakazi only. Dining room all services. And my favorite sake44 bar all food is available with a great sake and Japanese whiskey. Get the Japanese ice fish tempura. The uni snow crab over rice was to die for. Amazing quality sushi and sashimi. Our bartender / server at the same 44 bar was very knowledgeable and made the experience all the better. Amazing food.....

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in NYC so far, in terms of both value and all around variety. They have everything from a weekend lunch menu with cheaper options to a mid-level 'edomae nigiri' option (basically a chef's choice of edomae-style nigiri) and of course a top flight omakase. The non-sushi stuff is also excellent, from the Tokyo chicken to beef tongue, I've never had anything disappointing. They also have a decent sake selection, from good cheaper options to the more expensive fancier ones. Note that my experience is based primarily on the appetizers and nigiri; the only rolls I've tried are the ones that come with the edomae nigiri menu (I usually get blue fin tuna or spicy salmon avocado, both are good).

Love this place for Lunch. Really tasty lunch specials. Fish is always super fresh. Service is always very quick. It does get a little noisy but I am a loud talker and a good listener so I don't mind. I typically opt for the daily special - Tuesday's Chirashi bowl is definitely my favorite! Tons of fish for $20 - can't beat it in midtown.
