Excellent Mediterranean fare in the lower part of UES. The food was incredible and the staff was very nice. I have no complaints about the quality of the food as I left satisfied with a full belly. Restaurant is clean as well. I’d come back and recommend dining here for anyone who wants a Mediterranean cuisine.

We were just passing by this place and we got attracted by lovely vibe! I want to congratulate the new ownership of this restaurant. From food to service definitely deserves 5 stars. These guys are very friendly and comforting. Highly recommend the lamb shank, octopus and great Greek wines. Bravo ????

I had a wonderful experience at Sea Salt. The food was spectacular, the service was great, and the people were so friendly and kind. The Adana kebab was absolutely delicious, and I tried a Turkish white wine that was recommended to me. Everything was perfect, I will definitely be back!

Great new Mediterranean spot on the UES and they have probably one of the best happy hours in the city. Food was great, service was amazing and drinks were perfect. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re in the area and need a spot for lunch, dinner or brunch!

Everything here was beyond spectacular! The staff is extremely friendly, the ambiance is warm and cozy and the bar area is beautiful. The Greek chips were some of the best I’ve had in NYC and the rest of their mezzes and dishes were great as well. Great mix of Greek and Turkish dishes!

Would 100% come back, we loved it!

Really disappointed and I’m sad to write this review because although we did enjoy our meal we got awful food poisoning from this place. I’ll start with the week leading up; we called 5 times to try to make a reservation and each time was unsuccessful. After what seemed like the 20th time I called I finally got through to someone and it was so noisy in the back it was hard to hear. The reservation was for Friday and when we got there looks like we didn’t even need one because it was empty. Even in an empty restaurant it was hard to get the waiters attention, unsure what he was doing but it took us 15 min to try to ask for the check. I got the dumplings and my partner got a lamb dish stuffed with cheese and I’m 99% sure that’s what did us wrong. We were both up all night puking and knew it had to have been this place. The okra and falafel were very delicious. I was not the biggest fan of the dumplings, there was just too much yogurt on it. We did not like the Turkish wine. It’s disappointing because i thought the menu was vast and I would come here again to try other things.

I’m Turkish and I took my American husband to this restaurant while we were in New York City. I wanted him to get exposed to real Turkish kebab, mezes, and desserts (most of these are impossible to make at home and I’m pescatarian, so…). We had a variety of cold mezes, cigar rolls and salad as starters. I had fish and my husband had Adana kebab as his main course, and we drank rakı (an alcoholic beverage that is so hard to find elsewhere in the US). As dessert, we had baklava and künefe accompanied by tea (make sure you order some tea with your dessert - it’s so good). We loved all the dishes, hospitality of the staff and I felt like I was home. My husband was amazed by everything he saw and ate and now he knows the original baklava is not Greek but Turkish ???? I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience authentic Turkish food and hospitality at the heart of New York City.

This was my first visit here and I never usually leave reviews but I loved this restaurant. Firstly, this is a great Mediterranean place in Manhattan honestly. The food is really really tasty specially the shrimp kebabs, lamb chops, falafels, yogurt everything is delicious. Even their rice is my favorite now. Not a lot of Greek/middle eastern place I’ve been to has this much varieties and specially good shrimp dishes. The food was definitely very delectable in a sentence. Secondly, Very nice customer service the servers and all the staff were really really nice, considerate, friendly and helpful. $103 with of food was all worth the price each and every bit. Overall great service!! (Good drink services too+)

My wife and I visited New York City and had dinner at The Salt Mediterranean. My wife is from Turkey and we do not have any Turkish restaurants where we live. We both thought the food was amazing. I had the lamb kebab and she had fish. We shared cold meza, Turkish Salad, cigar borek, all before our delicious entrees. The baklava and kunefe desserts both were outstanding. We were treated like family by the wait staff and they made my first experience eating at a Turkish restaurant unforgettable. I highly recommend The Salt Mediterranean if you are looking for both 5 star food and service. My wife and I will definitely be coming back the next time we are in New York City.
