I did not like the place at all but mainly because of poor service and overpriced dishes (value for money wise).
The steaks are ok but nothing more than that and do not justify their high prices.
Our server was pushy, spoke extremely fast and was hard to understand and when asked for specific recommendations he just recommended the entire menu so this was not helpful at all. The waiter had a new trainee on his first day and he was just fantastic.
The restaurant was pretty empty in the evening which kind of gave a feeling that we were not in the right place.
All in all, we didn't like it but maybe someone else will...

The food was absolutely amazing. The steak was very tasty as well as the garlic mashed potatoes. Will most definitely be back again.

From outside, you can't really tell how big this restaurant is until the host takes u in. The front 2 hostess was very nice n pleasent. They have a huge collection of wine and its very spacious. Our server was very PROFESSIONAL. I believe her name is Thi or Thea..she recommended us all the dishes and we took her words for it. I enjoyed the shrimp dish and the potter house steak the most.
Also cool facts, when u order steak, they will give u a really HOT plate and u have the option of having butter on that plate. I got mine with butter. Their steak was top notch n very classic. I can see why they are in thus business for this long.
The manager Nikki was kind enough to stop by our table and ask us our first experience. He even cut the steak for us. He seemed very friendly and down to earth. This is our first time in a steak house where the manager put in this much effort. You usually see this in mom and dad restaurant but this was a surprise. I'm not sure if Ruth Chris got him all the way from England becuz his accent was very thick.
Overall, I really enjoyed my dine in there. The ambience is really amazing and you have enough space to enjoy ur privacy compared to other steakhouse in Manhattan.

Top notch service with a deliciously prepared steaks. Will definitely come back again money well spent.
We had the steaks and spicy shrimp appetizer.
The manager gave us amazing recommendations for the food and for afterwards in the city she was a true angel.

I went to celebrate my birthday her on Tuesday and I must say the food was amazing. I had the salmon and shrimp with cream spinach and it was delightful. The staff was professional and attentive. The ambiance was very sultry and sweet. I highly recommend and will definitely come back.

I’ve heard a lot about this place and decided to try it for myself. Delicious food from the salad to the desserts. Enjoyed every minute of it, the ambiance was great and so were the staff. Fairly clean though a little cramped. I will definitely be paying them another visit soon.

Excellent steak house with the meat cooked to perfection. The vibe is great with the characters to accent a great time dining. The manager Nikki went about and beyond predicting the customer's every need even before we knew we wanted it. We had a great time and really enjoyed all our food. Do recommend to make a reservation in advance as the place seems to get pretty busy after 0700 PM. Five stars no doubt.

The restaurant entrance was not clean and there was a a lot of people cluttered at The front area. Wait time from the beginning of the reservation until check out 2 hrs and 30 min. The server only checked on us like maybe twice that whole time, neither offer to refill our drinks. Food presentation was very bad. It made me not want to eat the food. Crab cakes supposedly are their best… they don’t have that wow flavor. Same with the entrees. Not appealing, the steak was good. But the sea bass was very boring. The mashed potatoes had no flavor at all. What’s up with the dishes all stained? It’s that part of the restaurant theme? I think it looks unappealing, made me feel like I was eating on a dirty dish. The restroom was dirty, trash was overflowing and there was no toilet paper. First time eating at a Ruth Chris and the last.

The steaks were obviously phenomenal! What is more spectacular is the experience. I took my meat loving, 10 year old son for a special Father/Son night. Our reservation was for 7PM. We left at 9PM happy and full. Unlike other restaurants, Ruth's Chris is not trying to rush you out to turn the table. Instead, it seemed they were wanting you to stay and spend time enjoying yourselves. Great experience!
