NYC Restaurant week try. I have wanted to try this place for awhile but didn’t find the occasion. Restaurant week gave me the excuse and very glad I came. It’s not cheap even though with restaurant week special (uni additional $19, Japanese wagyu additional $39). The quality and execution were near perfect. Only thing I feel missing is a good desert but that’s very common with Asian cuisine (very unfortunate).

I was invited to a dinner at Mifune and didn’t know what to expect. Well, I was blown away by the thoughtful and creative food preparation and service. It is incredibly hard to be great at many different preparations and this is why most successful restaurants specialize in only a few things and then do it very well. Otherwise someone is always disappointed that they were unlucky to order the wrong thing. Mifune seems to have accomplished a miracle and is able to execute 10 perfect courses and timing to serve it. It is always fun to critique and compare what each person at the table ordered. Ironically, we missed this part of the fun. All of us at the table couldn’t find one thing to disparage. Each of the about 10 courses were “spot-on” perfection for: originality, creativity, and depth of flavor and sophistication. Yes, we had one critique, it was very overwhelming!

Really fantastic experience here. The staff was extremely friendly and not rushing me at all. The food was superb and the perfect amount for an omakase meal. Definitely going back!

The food was excellent and had a creative vibe because of unique ingredient combinations. Can't help praising the staff! The entire service was very attentive, timely, and subtle, without us ever having to ask for anything.

Disappointing. We did the tasting menu and really didn’t love any of the courses. Some were good.
, most were OK and a couple were inedible! Beautiful decor and very nice staff though!

1st time experiencing this restaurant, and it was very tasty, except the dish with the mushrooms. it was just alright. the dessert was great too!!! this is one of the dishes that fills you up to your heart, lol! It’s called a pre fixe meal, if you don’t know :)

Mifune is one of the hidden treasures of New York City's fine dining scene, with food that is simultaneously creative, delicious, and gorgeous. At turns decadent, complex, and comforting, the food stands on par with any of the city's elite three-Michelin-Star restaurants, and it's paired with service that is friendly, warm, and welcoming. We've had memorable meals here on more than a few occasions, and we will be back.

We visit here during restaurant week with a large group friends. Very nice service, good Japanese french fusion dishes. We get 13 courses here just for $125. I will visit here again for sure!

I have been to several fine dinning places including Michelin stars during pandemic and this is one of the best. Great food, service, and environment. They have 4 bubbles outside and it feels pretty safe. We ordered 8-courses tasting menu and it ended up ~12 courses. Full of surprise.
