Elegant and natural floral ambience.
Top service
Food great. Beef tenderloin amazing and lobster risoto really espectacular. Not getting 5 start because escargots were ok as the fried ball was not as crunchy you my want

This is the most exceptional dining experience my husband and I have ever had in NYC, and one of the best in our life (we've lived here for 6 years and been to many of the top restaurants). When we visited for the first time, we knew it was where we had to have our micro wedding dinner and reception. From the moment we first met Jekaterina (Kate), she was friendly, respectful, impeccable in her attention to detail and very responsive (almost instantaneous). A consummate professional, she ensured our wedding dinner experience in The Club Room was exquisite and delightful in every day.
What separated this place from the many outstanding 5-star NYC restaurants for us was that every staff member was personable, sincere and down-to-earth in addition to providing exceptional service and unparalleled food. We felt truly welcomed and invited to stay and enjoy our time there. The lamb chops melted in your mouth, the champagne was divine and and flowing and the chocolate dessert had outstanding depth of flavor.
When our plans to do our first dances in Central Park changed the day of the wedding due to the weather, Majorelle seamlessly and graciously moved some furniture to make a space for us to dance. It made for an iconic and intimate moment, as if we were in someone's luxurious living room celebrating the start of our new lives together. My new French in-laws and my American family could not have imagined a more stunning place to toast to our special day, and the photos from the evening simply take our breath away. On top of all this, the entire place bursts with the scent of fresh flowers, which are massive and refreshed regularly throughout the hotel lobby and restaurant. It is nothing short of a dreamy floral timeless escape from the daily life of NYC. Thank you to Jekaterina and the entire Majorelle staff for enhancing the magic and beauty of our big day. We can't wait to come back again and again.

Absolutely beautiful interior, the food was amazing, it's a prix fix menu. Formal attire is highly recommended. The bar has an extensive liquor selection, my only complaint is that when I ordered a pisco sour it was not made correctly with egg whites or without ice.

Expensive but worth it — wine and food were excellent and they have great vegetarian options. Particularly enjoyed the Sancerre and the white asparagus special.

With a limited eating menu and wide alcohol menu you shouldn't sleep on this fine French restaurant. The Fois Gras cuts like butter, the chocolate mouse feels like a cloud and the sauces are sublime accents. The meat is always perfectly cooked to a beautiful medium rare (for the appropriate cuts). The desserts are complex, yet not too sweet. They also give you the choice between two or three courses. It would be a disservice to the restaurant and yourself not to choose the three courses.

Attention management! Please check on friendliness of the staff. The manger or whoever at the door is is really really rude and hates pets. I was passing by this restaurant with my dog and got a lot of attitude from the manager/runner ( tall skinny man 50+ years old looking)(3/21/22 9:30 pm) . I was curious about this place and wanted to see it’s closer without entering and he run outside and yelled at me saying that I have to cross the street and not to get close to the entrance.
PS I never write reviews but this situation was way too much

What a wonderful break from NYC, enter through The Lowell Hotel, and into a portal to lux restaurant somewhere in Paris. Please come business casual at the minimum, but black tie evening wear would fit right in. The service here top notch, you can tell the staff are life time servers dedicated to their craft. Everything is delicious and well executed, but the duck and soufflé is on my must list!
Something to note, like many upscale UES restaurants, the demographic of the diners are 99% not diverse. Might make some diners feel awkward ????

Fantastic ambience. Very elegant and sheik. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Prix fixe menu. Extensive wines menu and a fully stocked bar. I had Glen Morangie and a special cocktail. We had a fantastic salad and oysters from PEI to start. Our main dish was snapper with olives and a vegetable both an lobster risotto. The desert was peach Melba and berries in a grand marnier cream sauce. We finished with a coffee. Pricey but highly recommended.

Went there during last December covid, got seated outdoor and was super cold that day. Got to see the beautiful restaurant when using bathroom, food was good, will probably come back for a indoor seating experience later.

Dinner is served at a $110 three-course prix-fixe (but there is a small complementary appetizer - some sort of soup.) From the appetizers, “Foie Gras au Sauternes” was my favorite.
It’s totally worth the ????! The moment you walk into the restaurant, you notice the decorations with real flowers (smells really nice ????!!)
Highly recommend this place to those who want a fancy dinner with friends or a date!
