I've had vegetarian and omakase before but never together and this place was an experience. All the tables were nicely spaced out and each dish was explained. You can taste each and every ingredients that they use. Luckily I was able to try this place before they close their doors for good.

One of the best vegan restaurants that I have been to. The seasonal variations accompanied by the alternating chill and hot dishes brought shocks to your palates. The menu started off with a fresh tomato with hints of yuzu flavor that drove the summer heat away. Every grilled dish was embodied with strong wood flavor that elevated the freshness and juiciness of summer vegetables. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing Japanese Shojin cuisine that you will dream about for months. Came here almost one year ago and still think about our meal. Everything was perfect, beautiful, and balanced The service was outstanding. The teas were phenomenal. I would eat here every day if I could.

Kajitsu served expertly sourced produce flown directly from Japan. It is truly a privilege to be able to experience the freshness in Japan, half way across the globe. However, we live in times where fermentation based cuisine is the norm, especially in vegetarian and vegan restaurants. The lack thereof really felt underwhelming in terms of taste, but I reckon that nutrition is at the essence of shojin ryori and I must admit that I was very fulfilled after the hearty 12 course meal.

A great departure from standard fine dining. The food was delicious and had great presentation. The vibe was so nice: quiet and peaceful (at other restaurants it usually feels like we have to yell across the table at each other over the din of voices and music) with a super clean aesthetic. You can sit either at the bar or at a table. Fully vegan menu available. Plus: SAKE PAIRINGS! Really fun and interesting after lots of wine pairings. There are also tea pairings for folks who don’t drink alcohol, but fyi that the teas are caffeinated.

Love this place! Have been here a few times and each time the menu is simply delicious and thoughtfully curated. You are definitely full after the meal, but never uncomfortably stuffed. Also love that it is entirely vegetarian!

Really like the concept of new menus every month, and each course flows so well to to next, from the starters to the desserts/tea at the very end. This month, the theme revolves around the Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day) in Japan celebrated in March, and you will see helpful explanations during the meal for the ingredients or food inspired by this tradition (i.e., multi colored rice crackers). Every single person that I’ve introduced this place to loved the food and presentation, and I’ll definitely keep coming back for all sorts of special occasions.

We were really excited to come and we weren't disappointed, we loved it! The interior is very minimalist with beautiful wood tables. Every dish was unique and using some ingredients that weren't familiar to us. We loved the experience, really recommend!

Came here last week with a few friends and loved it! I'd say it was an excellent experience and there were some entrees that I loved much more than others - the beet/radish starter, the truffle dish, cabbage, and the miso soup were some of my favorites. The orange jelly was super refreshing and the perfect palate cleanser to end the meal. I loved the ambience of the restaurant - calm, quiet, peaceful. The presentation was perfect and the aesthetics on point.

I did not expect this.

I'm as omnivore as you can get, and I would love to come back and try their next menus. Don't skip this place because it has "vegan" in its description, it is good, quality, traditional, not processed, Japanese cuisine, with rich flavors, combination of textures, and those unicorn dishes - where every different bite is unlike the other.

The "omakase" tasting menu is $120 + tax & tip. It starts with delicate dishes, and slowly becomes richer, more complex, and aggressive - in a good way.
You won't go hungry, this is a lot of food.

Now I need for some out-of-town vegans friends to visit, just so I'll have an excuse to come back here.

Vegan omakase was excellent; sake pairing highly recommended! Tea pairing is also available, which-- judging by their green tea alone-- would probably also be superb.

The bar seating area is separate from the main dining area, with the main dining area having a more austere, quiet feel. Reservations seem booked usually ~ 2 weeks ahead and the tasting took our group about 2.5 hours, although we saw a single diner finish in 1.
