I felt very welcome is this place. The service was amazing, the food was heartfelt, so delicious, well cooked. Felt like I was eating at someone’s grandmas house. I want to come back when it is cold so I can go for their soups.
But will definitely add this to my favorite spots in NY

Tiny space, limited menu, but flavorful and filling (lots of carbs) food. Some highlights include:
- the dipping sauce. It comes with the fried egg scallion pancake;
- the braised egg in Lu Rou Fan. It has a orange gooey egg yolk;
- the pickled cabbage in Fan Tuan
- the savory soy milk
They can also customize the sweetness of the soy milk. We also think they probably could have done a better job on YouTiao. It was overly fried. Even the YouTiao chips in the savory milk and Fan Tuan should be crispy but not too hard to bite:/

The beef noodle bowl is a typical Taiwanese dish. My Taiwanese friend recommended me this place saying it was very authentic… however, apparently, the day I came it was below average. The soup was greasy and tasteless. The noodles were not cooked evenly, and I dare to say overcooked, and the chunks of beef were completely flavourless. Also, not the cheapest bowl ($18).
Besides, the lu rou fan, another typical dish, was pretty strange in its flavours. The combination was a bit off, and overly greasy.

Overall very disappointed with the experience.

They could turn the AC more, because it’s hot in there while consuming a bowl of soup noodles, and there are plenty of flies too.

Perhaps just the wrong day and wrong chef.

My friend also said they have great breakfast, so I will have to try again to revaluate my experience.

Small shop that's easy to miss.

Sweet soy milk ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: not too sweet but still has fresh soy milk flavor

Braised pork on rice ⭐️⭐️⭐️: fatty pork and Chinese cabbage were good. Tea egg was a little salty

Scallion pancake with egg ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: nice and crispy on the outside, soft egg on inside. Wasn't the biggest fan of the szechuan bean sauce(?) on the side

Three of us came for Sunday brunch/lunch. Delicious beef noodle soup, we ordered the 2-person set to share among three of us in addition to some breakfast items. Feels pretty pricey at $55, but good quality and nice staff. Not much seating but Sunday 3pm we didn’t have to wait long.

We went for breakfast and tried the wontons, beef scallion pancake roll, cucumbers, and braised pork rice (lu rou fan). Some of the dishes were really good, but I thought the braised pork rice was lacking.

I’m absolutely in love with how they’ve organized and decorated the outdoor seating to remind or introduce people to what eating at home was like!! Our server was friendly and accommodating, though super busy and hard to get a hold of on the weekend lunch rush. The food was good but definitely overpriced and with skimpy portions compared to what I’ve had at other Taiwanese places in NYC. Sadly they were out of soy milk by lunch so I couldn’t try it but maybe another day!

Came here for the rice ball. The layer of rice is too thin, but its ingredients are exactly the same as we had back home. Forgive my excitement when I saw there was no chicken/tofu/protein added inside as in other places.
Scallion pancake with egg is disappointing. Pancake is pre-made and the fried egg did not add much flavor as it usually fell off from the pancake.
Took off one star because of their limited space inside. Highly recommend they re-organize their design to be a coffee shop style. Sit-down tables inside were too large.

Quite a perfect place for a quick meal if you don’t have to wait more than 10 min. The beef noodle is quite flavorful but not as tasty as I like it — it’s rich but lacks some key beef noodle spice and I didn’t finish the soup as I usually does. The beef on the other hand is on point.

Pork rice is not salty enough but scratch am itch. same goes for the rice ball.

Outdoor seating is small but does the job.

Was told I should come here and try the beef noodle soup. I liked it. Not as flavorful as some other beer noodle soup I've had, but I wonder if that's because I didn't order it right? After the soup arrived, I overheard a waiter encourage another table to get it spicy; I would've went that direction had I known!
