We had a delightful meal here, so much so that we came back a second night. Our server, Lira, was excellent and quite personable. We will make a point of coming here when we return to NYC.
Over two nights, we had grilled octopus, the filet, and then Branzino. All were excellent. I highly recommend it!

We had dinner here with our friends. It was a terrific experience. Extremely knowledgeable waiters and courteous staff. Ambiance was very nice and food was perfection. We shared the Empire steak for 2 ppl and the porter house for 2ppl was more then enough for the four of us. The desserts were perfect. Incredible wine and whiskey selections. We enjoyed it so much we moved to the bar after dinner for a round of night caps!

Went during restaurant week after walking by admiring this place for years. Place was oddly empty but service was good - kudos to your friendly team. The sirloin steak was very good, as was the calamari - yum! Now, let’s talk about the breading on that day old chicken parm. I know chicken - it was from yesterday, at best. Also, the cheesecake crust was inedible (chewy like a gummy bear, rubbery texture). What was that? Since we don’t like to be difficult and did eat most of it without involving the manager, you’re getting two stars. You have a dream location and set-up, please do better.

Both NYC locations have great ambiance, fantastic food and service… and according to my boss, Lira makes the absolute best old fashioned. I highly recommend.

Came here for restaurant week. The menu is $59 for 3 courses, and they also offer a selection of wine for $49 a bottle. There are a lot to choose from compare to a lot of restaurant week menus. We got there around 5 the place was empty so we got seated right away with reservation. Service was really good. Our waiter was friendly and always checking on us, other staffs also welcomed us to come with warming greeting when we walked out, manager came to our table too to make sure everything is good.
I had fried calamari for appetizer, very crispy. And portion is large. The medallion filet mignon was ok, cooked to perfect but the cut is thin, the mushroom sauce was not salty enough to my taste. Tiramisu was not the best, lack of coffee flavor, more creamy than what it supposed to taste like.
In general Had a good meal and very filling. Good experience overall

My family and I came to Empire Steak House to celebrate my mother's birthday and we all had an awesome time. The staff (especially, Eddie/Eddy- as he told us to call him). He was so attentive to our party of 6, as well as the Manager- he came to our table a few times just to make sure that we're okay ???? Excellent service from the moment we walked in to our departure. Now, the food was excellent ????????my Eggplant Parmigiano was SoooOo good as a starter, the steak was cooked well..and seasoned ???????? garlic butter broccoli was so good. I had an Old fashioned cocktail, it was strong, which I liked ???????? Overall, great experience...and it was NYC Restaurant Week‼️ Alot of food for $59, 3 courses! Love it!

we had an unforgettable dinner in the empire steak house. the manager, ardijan is one of the most down-to-earth and nicest people I've met lately. the chefs did an amazing job. we ate a japanese a5 wagyu and the emperor steak with which ardijan offered us a fine wine which didn’t disappoint us in any way. the side dishes were very successful and I can recommend the creme brulee to everyone! the ambience was extremely pleasant and not too loud as not to be able to talk to each other. if there were more stars to be awarded, Ardijan and his restaurant would have deserved them. teşekkürler kardeşim!

This was our anticipated dinner date for the night. On the whole everything was just OK. Our waitress was great and helpful but the food was a little lackluster. We did appreciate the relaxed dress code due to walking the city all day prior to dinner. The oysters were alright. They had Long Island oysters which lacked a salty, brined profile that I look for in oysters. The chocolate lava cake was a little dry but the crème brûlée was spot on. The steak was good but lacked flavor. We were given the option of a table or a window seat at the bar and we chose the latter. The atmosphere and ambiance was nice but the food disappointed.

We dined for restaurant week and enjoyed our meals. Portions were great for the price this year. My drink was also really good. Wasn't too thrilled that dessert was not included, bringing your typical 3 course prefixed menu down to 2, with dessert as an additional charge. The atmosphere is your typical steakhouse, a bit dark. Our server was great despite it looking like he was the only one waiting on many tables. Understandably, staff is short among many NYC restaurants during the pandemic. Overall a great experience.
