Wonderful experience. The bolognese sauce and pasta were the best I've ever had. So good. The warm focaccia at the start was amazing. I had to move fast to get a picture of the last piece. My family had the chicken parmesan and spaghetti with red sauce. Both solid, but not as good as the bolognese. Staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I’ve been here a few times and took my family who were visiting the city recently. Very simple menu but everything is top notch. The veal stood out - cooked to perfection with nice flavours. The pastas were also lovely.

honestly i didn’t expect to like emilio’s as much as i did… but it was such a fun spot for dinner. there’s men that sit outside the restaurant that basically decide where you sit… we got to sit the back room which was such an experience. the food was also way better than i expected. i wouldn’t say it’s the best italian in nyc, but there was a homey, old-school feeling with all the dishes. the best dish by far was the meatballs! the chicken parm was a close second. the bread service is also amazing.

Five stars for service from Manuel & atmosphere. Go early (before 5) as it gets deservedly busy. Food was very good, (but not great). Definitely had a neighborhood feel, cozy and reminiscent of places we’ve been to in Italy; we WILL return but will do a better job of ordering. Do not miss the meatballs & focaccia. We ordered: Linguine alle Vongole which was heavy on the oil & was missing fresh parsley & a good deglazing of white wine. Chicken Parm was good; order it w a side of pasta as it doesn’t come w it. Salad of arugula, orange, fennel was great. Penne alli arribiata was too too spicy, & we love spicy, on the night we were there. The pasta special w mushrooms and sausage was ok. We had a fabulous time w Manual really making sure we were taken care of- we will return and look forward to trying more dishes.

Trendy spot where you’ll definitely see a celebrity or Instagram influencer. Some of the dishes really knock your socks off but others are average so it’s a hit or miss. Do not sleep on the chicken parm or the cheesecake. Really great for groups

Very welcoming, from the moment my family and I walked in. The owner was seated, eating lunch himself, by the door and warmly greeted us, encouraging us to take whichever table was comfortable/preferable.
The food was great. Unfortunately, my 5 month daughter decided to be a bit fussy, so I stepped away to the private room to feed her and missed out on the appetizers while they were warm. But, coming back to the table and sampling the calamari and baked class, I could imagine how much more enjoyable they would be warm.
I ordered the chicken parm, and was thoroughly satisfied. The sauce is great.
I love the atmosphere, the photos on the wall, of all the greats that have been there. It's a nice experience. It's my second time there, I would gladly return again.

What a wonderful authentic Italian experience! The staff was welcoming and had perfect recommendations. The focaccia was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I cannot rave about this restaurant enough!

Definitely worth the trip. Went on a weekday night. Decided to go earlier than our usual dinner time and fortunately so. As soon as we got seated then the queue got long. No reservations taken. Place was a mid century throwback, replete with loads of celebrity pics on the walls. Cozy, community feel. Our table was a little too small. We had clams and tripe to start. Then I had the grilled pork chops, day special. Hubby had shrimp spaghetti. For dessert, we had canoli and cheesecake. The grilled pork chops were moist and so flavorful. The tripe was down home good. The clams were slightly too salty. The rest yummy. I'd say the prices were a tad high but the food was so tasty. Total bill for 2, without wine was 248, tip included.

A classic. Excellent food and service. One of the best meals I have had all summer long. Worth all the praise. My only regret was not ordering the deep friend burrata.
