I enjoyed my dinner, the service and food were good too. The restaurant is close to the theatre district which makes for a practical dinner spot for anyone looking for a reasonably priced meal before a show.

We ordered 4 dishes between 2 people:
Traditional Guacamole (extra spicey) with warm tortilla chips.

Empanadas de Platano - Plantains stuffed with black beans, chiles, and cheese. Served with chipotle aioli. Gluten-free & Vegetarian).

Dos Caminos Pollo tacos - Citrus marinated chicken, queso fresco and borracho beans served on handmade corn tortillas.

Enchiladas de Queso - Menonita, Oaxaca, and cotija cheeses. Topped with grilled red onion and guajillo salsa. (Gluten-free & Vegetarian).

I would come back here for the Empanadas de Platano. They were so delicious!

The guacamole and salsas were tasty. Initially, the bartender was attentive and friendly. We noted the hostess to lock the door (9pm closure) which entered into the bar area of the restaurant where we sat. As I continued to enjoy my chips and salsa, a server asked my husband if he was done with his plate and removed it when my husband replied yes. The server returned to remove my salsas. The bartender seemed to hear me say to my husband, “Hey the server took the salsas that I was still eating (part of my guacamole ordered with my wine). The bartender then abruptly removed my basket of chips that remained semi full that I had not finished nibbling on. These actions felt very cold and left us with the impression that the bartender wanted us to immediately leave, as he continued to entertain and offer drinks to an ex-employee & her party sitting next to me. The ex-employee happened to be chatting with three others; one being another woman who the bartender appeared to have an interest in. It was evident he did not want the other woman to leave considering he repeatedly offered her another drink. When a friend of this woman arrived, she was left without nearby seating. My husband and I proceeded to exit the restaurant and noted that other customers were barely be served their dinners, so we did not understand the rush treatment at the bar; especially when others seated at the bar had arrived prior to us. As we made our full exit, I waved to the two hostesses and loudly said to them, “Thank you and enjoy your evening.” One of the two responded with an under enthused grin and no verbal response. The following day after my husband and I reflected on our experience, we regretted leaving the bartender a 20% tip. This is not how my husband I wanted to end our last night in New York. Customer service everywhere else in New York was excellent!

The food was good. The pricing is fair for the Times Square area. We were seated quickly even without reservations. All was good except the seating. We were seated at a more of a lounge type seating rather than restaurant style. Our food did not fit on our seating and we had to be relocated to accommodate. We had my granddaughter with us and had trouble getting around with a stroller. This is no fault of the restaurants but if you have smaller children it’s not set up for that.

Had a great experience. We were running late for our reservation and after a quick call to the restaurant we were assured we could be seated immediately. We let the waiter, Frankie, know that we had show tickets and needed to be out quickly. He was so accommodating and got all our orders in quickly and out just as fast. Our guacamole was terrific, as well as our meals and margaritas. We were in and out in 45min and made our show in plenty of time. Good food and great service!

This place was a great find! After looking for a fun place to eat around times Square that wasn't packed full of people, we stumbled upon this restaurant. We ordered the small guacamole - good for 2-3 people. It also came with a side of mild, medium and spicy salsa. The margaritas were fabulous. I had the guava and my friend got their specialty margarita. Josh was an amazing help as a waiter as he helped us decide between a couple of options and was very polite during our visit. The food came fast and was very good - we had the chicken quesadilla. It came with Pico, guacamole, rice and beans. Pretty good portion! Definitely somewhere you should stop if you are craving some amazing guacamole and margs!

Guacamole was excellent. Street Corn was excellent. Drinks were good. Waiter was attentive. But the Chicken Quesada and Chicken Tacos where sent back. My husband son and I didn’t not like the taste of the chicken. It tasted gamey. It was really weird. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying there food.

Great place to bring big group and easy to make reservations. Staff is very friendly and there are variety of options, fish, meat, cheese, and no cheese, etc. Portions sizes are big and their fish tacos, enchilada, empanada and guac were all very fresh. Only note is the corn tacos and rice are a bit stiff. Their sangria is a good size if you want to enjoy a glass with your meal!

Dos Caminos was attached to the hotel we were staying at in Time Square. I had scheduled lunch time reservations but arrived from the airport earlier than expected. They were still able to accommodate my reservation. What was originally a reservation for 7 people turned out to be a reservation for 12 people. The restaurant was still willing to work with us and accommodated our large party while only have one server.

I believe his name was Oscar. He had the pretty acrylic nails. He was so nice. His service was so fast. I know he was overworked because he admitted to me that they were short staff and that he was the only waiter at that time. Let me tell you, his service was still outstanding. I couldn't even tell they were short staff with the amount of people piling in.

The food was also really good. I will definitely be back here when I come back to NYC.
