Had a delicious brunch here on Sunday with the family. The bottomless mimosas were tasty and a great deal. The schnitzel was unexpected and fabulous. A variety of tastes that worked together really well. The center of the kubaneh was cold vs hot outer, but the taste was great. The burger had really good flavor. The Jerusalem bagel was huge and chewy and good. Really had a good experience here and would return.

Best restaurant experience on my trip to New York. Although we sat inside, I will say that the outdoor seating here is super pretty and would recommend it to anyone when it’s not too hot or cold. The inside of the restaurant was dim and had a nice energy to it with the middle eastern music playing. We ran through the menu’s few courses, starting with the mezze, or appetizers, and going to entrees. The hummus with zaatar bread was amazing, as it was incredibly smooth and creamy. The Tunisian lamb cigar was also a star dish - it was insanely crispy with an aromatic ground lamb filling that paired perfectly with tehina. The main entree was the crispy roasted lamb, which had a bed of this sweet and aromatic nut-date-rice mixture. This dish was amazing when you paired the lamb with the mix, but by itself the lamb is just very tender (very good thing!!) and not very flavorful. Other dishes such as the shishbarak and Israeli salad were tasty, but not my favorite. The service was relatively quick and the waiter did their job sufficiently. Overall, I would recommend Dagon to anyone visiting or living in NYC who wants some high-quality Middle Eastern food.

Walking from the subway, you could tell the energy from a block away. Their outdoor seating was wonderfully done. Inside, it is a large space with a central bar. Great decor. The food was fantastic. We ordered the pastrami duck breast, cod, beet and beef tongue, and caesar salad. Paired with a bottle of Israeli white wine. All fantastic.

Amazing Israeli restaurant. Everything here is simply amazing so I don't have to specify. The dessert we had was the cherry on top. We liked it so much we came back two weeks later. Very recommended!

I can't recommend this place enough. We did breads, salad, and small plates. Everything was fantastic. Favorites were the mushroom dumplings and the kubaneh with labnah and the Japanese eggplant confit. The drinks were fabulous too.

Indoor and outdoor seating options. I have a feeling you can't go wrong with anything you order here. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious! We had a pre fix menu and had a chance to try many different dishes. Enjoyed everything from appetizers to desserts! The second floor room in the back is semi private and great for small parties, although was a bit hot. They have a very good wine list and absolutely great cocktail! Mediterranean margarita was amazing!!! Overall very good experience! Thank you!!

Visited this place for brunch on Sunday. The food is very tasty. Tried the flatbread with Muhamarra Mezze and it was amazing. The crispy almond flakes brought the taste out. The Dagon Schnitzel was perfect. One of the best food I have had. The tahina was smooth with almost no bitterness to it. The service was top notch. Luckily got to sit at the kitchen and it was a bliss to watch them prepare such amazing dishes.

In my view, as an Israeli, the chef have Lovely interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine, interesting flavors and combinations that are not specific to any region of the Mediterranean, rather a view of the vibe… the food is served in a playful manner, the restaurant main attraction for me, is definitely the oversized (sexy) wood burning Taboon oven, (see pictures) stunning and stylish, the big bar and quaint dining room allows for a quiet Dining and conversation, music playing in the background, and it’s retro look is attractive, our server Noah is a knowledgeable, kind and efficient- he knows the menu in and outs, and gave us great suggestions, as to what to enjoy, and what are his favorites, what’s popular and when to come (for dinner specials) next time around. The manager is very visible in the dining room, and he keeps the place running like a well oiled machine.
Dessert menu again is interesting and playful, was too full to try anything, but will keep room next time We come.
I would recommend this restaurant whole heartedly.
The restaurant was clean and the bathroom was very clean and laborious as well, see pics.

Delicious and fresh! Fun modern Mediterranean cuisine on the Upper West Side! Seems Israeli influenced, but the offerings are eclectic.

Airy and bright colored dining rooms elevates the mood, and the food is bountiful and satisfying.

I had the schnitzel brunch and cannot say enough good things! Even the presentation was unique! And the tahini..OMG!!!
