[4/5, New York, NY] The ribeye was okay - a little too charred for my liking but still had good taste. The bacon was also too charred. Spinach was nothing special, oysters were pretty good. They gave us free dessert at the end though.
Service was great, ambience was good, but food didn’t cut it for me.

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. The great service that is offered here started from the phone call I made for reservations. The receptionist was very polite and patient.
I received a text regarding the call and instructions for canceling and general information about the restaurant. The day before, I received a text reminding me of my reservations and there was also an option to cancel.
When we got to the restaurant, the staff was very warm and welcoming. Diego, one of our servers, was great! He mentioned the more affordable option on the menu due to restaurant week. We took advantage of that!
Since it was my love's birthday day we got our pictures taken and place in a very touching card with well wishes for him and thank-yous to us for choosing their restaurant to celebrate. Overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely go back; and I recommend this steak house to everyone.

As I was looking for a good steakhouse while visiting NYC, I stumbled upon Club A Steakhouse on Yelp and it piqued my interest because of the numerous positive 4 to 5 star reviews everyone had. The photos looked great and it is well priced, so I had to give this place a try. Unfortunately, my experience here wasn't up to par with what I was expecting, in regards to the food itself. The service however, was amazing.
The Food: I ordered the 20 oz. Bone-In Prime Ribeye steak with a side of creamed spinach and french fries. The steak was ordered medium rare and upon my first cut, it was a little more towards medium side. But hey it was the first cut, but as I get through my steak it just wasn't the amount of rare I was looking for. It was barely pink on the inside which disappointed me. However, the overall flavor of the steak was great. No complaints there. The issue was more of how the steak was cooked in terms of how well I wanted it done. As for the sides, the creamed spinach was a little bland, so I had to add a good mount of salt and pepper to add some flavor. French fries were good.
The Service: The service was great! I was greeted immediately by the host and we were seated almost immediately after arriving. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and professional as well and talked us through our menu. The staff were very attentive with check ups and water refills as well.
Overall. a 3/5 for being okay. The food was alright, not amazing but the staff made up for it with their service.

It's easy to get a reservation at this place. Good atmosphere and live music when we were there on Saturday evening. This is generally a very nice steakhouse with great service.
Ordered Ribeye and Prime Double Eagle Stripe Bone In steak. The latter one is like a bone in NY strip.
Both steak are seasoned really well and they did a decent job dry aging the ribeye. I ordered my steak to be medium rare but the first time it's overcooked. They offered to grill a new piece and the second time it's right on point.
They also gave us complimentary desserts as it's a celebration event.

This restaurant is AMAZING! We had a rehearsal dinner for 20 people on May 23 for my family and the grooms family. It was perfect. The food was excellent, the staff was excellent, and the room was excellent. They have a private room in the wine cellar and it was perfect for our group. The owner Bruno made sure everyone was happy. They even took a group photo and printed it out for us to keep.
I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Had a wonderful steak dinner here. I do not know where to start.
Ambience: The ambiance wasn’t pretentious at all. It feels warm and comfortable, music not overbearing.
Food: My steak was flawlessly done; medium rare. It was seasoned well and simply perfect.
Service: This is the aspect of the restaurant that deserves special remark. The service is top notch. The staff were warm and they made me feel special. Simply the best!

This is one of our favorite lunch spots!
The burger with the duck fat fries are amazing and one of the best burgers in the city. It is super juicy and flavorful and cooked perfectly. How could fries fried in duck fat be bad?? Highly recommend the roasted oysters, it is perfection. You can still taste the oysters, it's cooked but slightly raw and it has an amazing haberno butter on it. You will not want to share this!!
Hot tip, go during restaurant week. They offer a lunch special only on weekdays for $39, you get an appetizer and an entree. Most entrees are $30-$35 so this is a super good deal!

What a fabulous evening out on the upper east side of Manhattan! The service and experience dining at Bruno’s Club A Steakhouse is fantastic and unique. Warmly greeted right upon entry and showed to our table each time, and they always make sure to add a special touch to our experience with outstanding service. The porterhouse steak for 2 is our favorite! Celebrated my husband’s birthday here recently. Bruno and staff here make you feel like family. The ambiance is perfect. Amazing food, light music and always a memorable experience.
Bruno even took a beautiful photo of us he printed for a keepsake by the end of our evening. Def come visit!

We celebrated our friends' birthdays here. We reserved the private room downstairs in the wine cellar and our waiter was very helpful with suggestions. The porterhouse was so good. The oysters, creamed spinach, everything was good. At the end they gave us complimentary dessert and the owner even came down and gave the birthday people a card with a photo the waiter had taken earlier. Some of my friends said the bathroom on the second floor was too far but I didn't mind. It was also very quiet down there so we asked for music which they turned on. Too bad we couldn't hear the live music but it was overall a nice evening.

Amazing! In every sense of the word. On our second trip to NYC, we wanted to get that quintessential New York City steakhouse experience and Club A Steakhouse exceeded our expectations. The food is absolutely delicious, the ambience is absolutely fantastic, and the service is absolutely excellent! We were seated by the owner and unsuspectingly found out later that night, the humbleness of being in the midst of all the action and gathering first person insight means that this steakhouse is treated with care. Would highly recommend!
