Picked up a friend and her mom for lunch, we all here for the first time, I've heard so much about this place that I couldn't wait to try the food , and it didn't disappoint. Food was Amazing and so affordable, it's a small place so depending on the time you go it could be a little bit of a wait time .

100/10. The food was amazing, packed with flavor and well textured. Arrived an hour before closing time and the place was full. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and go again.

My first visit. Tasted the roasted pork shoulder with plantain which is rather unique to Puerto Rican and fried chicken with yellow rice which are the same as served in other restaurants.

But the West Indian sauce is really nice and adds to the taste of fried chicken.

This is a small eatery with limited seating capacity. It has nevertheless a wonderful character.

Absolutely love this place! Was in New York on a trip and wanted to buy Puerto Rican food since we live abroad and very much miss it. The lady who was working there (grand daughter of the founder) was very kind and helped me out. She even gave me a Puerto Rican flag for free so that we can see the flag while we are far away (the other side of the world!) and be happy.

The food was amazing and my husband loved it sooooo much! Thank you for the amazing food!!

Absolutely amazing Hispanic food. The fried pork chops are a must try and the rotisserie chicken is usually very good.

Classic, genuine, local / family-run restaurant serving up all the Cuban classics. Very relaxed and low-key -- food is delicious and affordable. Also feels good to support local business that's been around a while. Visit and enjoy! I usually get fried plantains and Cuban sandwich

I live in Orlando, FL.. not from that area. They were very welcoming. Food was delicious and flavorful. I went back a few days later to pick up a dozen pasteles to take back home with me. Will definitely go back to eat next time I'm in New York.

I am a Puerto Rican that is married with a lovely Russian man and who is finally moving in to NYC after years coming to the city for, sometimes long or short visits, and I have to say this: I am so grateful and satisfied of having found this gem of spot. Is just marvelous, so authentic and cozy. The food was just a huge hug to my soul ❤ and I can't wait to come back. I am definitely a forever customer from now and on. My husband favorite dish of the one we tried was the Cuban sandwich, he said was even better than his favorite Cuban sandwich he had ate in Miami. I can't recommend this place enough!!! Again thanks for the delicious food and great attention and service. See you soon!!! ????

Casa Adela is a small, charming family owned Puerto Rican restaurant nestled in the East Village. The food and service will both warm your soul whether you love Puerto Rican food or new to it. We had (pictured) the Cuban sandwich, it was absolutely amazing.. The sancocho soup which was also very good and the chicharon which is fries chicken and yellow rice with red beans. Everything on the menu looked fantasic but we couldnt eat everything lol. I highly recommend Casa Adela, you will not be disappointed. I will definetly be a repeat patron. Thank you for the wonderful service and food.
