We had a group of 10. The appetizers and entrees were just okay and the servers were a bit confused. Red wine was served quite warm and we were also seated upstairs, which was dismal. The desert was the best part and we quite enjoyed but didn't make up for the rest.

We had a party of 9 people all family member for a pre wedding party. Location is excellent, place is nicely decorated and quaint. Overall we had a positive experience except some rather fondamentale mistakes they made, waiter did not know most basic rules of greeting, poring water with his elbow in our eyes, his limited knowledge of food and wine and overall his mannerisms. My red wine was actually worm, room temperature does not mean actually room temperature! My beef was good but overly fatty and rich, pork chop was excellent so the deserts. I don’t think I would recommend this place to foodie people!

Reasonably priced and good atmosphere. One of the better Steak Frites on offer in the city at this price point. Good selection of wines. Very good service. I forgot a personal item and the waiter ran after me to return it.

Nice quiet restaurant with outdoor seating. Food is good. I had the large cheese souffle, which would have been perfect except for the truffle oil used to grease the ramekins. It overpowered the cheese taste. Great service otherwise.

Onion soup and mussels were good. But should have known not to get the fettuccine - very bland and tasted like nothing.

Brasserie Cognac changed their menu a few weeks ago to include more classic french dishes, and everything is fantastic! I particularly enjoyed the preparation of the halibut, which was perfectly cooked. Portions are perfect, not too big and not too small. When the menu changes, they have the waiters try the new dishes so that they can accurately opine on menu items. I came here with my sister and mother after a bridal gown fitting appointment, this was the perfect end to our day!

Would go back, it’s a great spot for brunch. The host was very pleasant and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. She had the Cheese Soufflé, which was light in texture and mild in flavor making it an interesting experience that’s enjoyable when your appetite is for something small. It was fun to eat. He had the petite filet with mushrooms. It was very undercooked, which is silly in a professional restaurant who should know their oven or use a meat thermometer if necessary to get it right. The frites were excellent and the chocolate soufflé for dessert was very good but not great because a soufflé is dry inside and they served it with ice cream instead of a cream you can pour in the top. The skirt steak with frites would have been perfect if not for the fact it was sold out so we will go back for that another time. If you found this review helpful follow me.

Nice place with a style of an authentic French restaurant.
But the food was disappointing. The appetining dishes were reasonable nothing beyond that. The main courses were boring, and the dessert, we should give it up.
The service was nice and the price reasonable.
Manhattan has significantly better French restaurants.

Lovely place, we went without a plan but were very pleased with everything. The food was a but pricey but worth it. Service was great. We sat outside so ambience was as good as street seating can offer but cannot complain. Good place overall.
