When H&R first opened this location we ordered take out online and it was delicious. So today we decided we'd dine in for an impromptu seafood dinner date. The drinks, food, atmosphere, music, service were good. Worth the money. Time well spent.

I’ve been to two other locations, but this location stood out the most in a bad way. I don’t know if it is because of our race or it is simply how the staff treat everyone who walks in here, but the service was not good. We are a party of 7 and when we entered the restaurant we were not even greeted. A worker simply told us to follow her and assigned us to a table that did not even have enough seats for the 7 of us, we had to go get a chair from another table ourselves. After that, the lady who took our order gave us an attitude when we had a minor confusion with the menu. When a guy came to give us water, he simply set a stack of cups on our table with the water, not even with a smile on his face. In the end they charged us 18% in tips and then the lady charged us an extra 5% although nobody there was polite or helpful to us in any way whatsoever. We ended up spending way more than we were supposed to, forced to tip a large amount. The other locations were way better, this place didn’t even give us the chip appetizers the other locations gave us. Would never recommend this location.

I went in early Saturday afternoon around 2:30pm , and there wasn’t that much people. It was the best time to go in , less crowded in the weekend.
The food is really good , we got non breaded wings . The New England clam chowder was really good !!! Pina colada was one of the best , we had the mango flavor and passion fruit flavor. Our server was really great , I think her name was Daniella . I will definitely be visit again soon

My first visit to any of these chains and I can say my experience was definitely pleasant. Keynaya was the right amount of everything. The crab boil came out to us piping hot and the taste was a tad bit salty but just what we were craving. I would definitely come

Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. We went for Mother's Day and the bartender was great! We would definitely go back!

Service here wasn't great neither was the shellfish but the chicken it was delicious and I suspect the fried fish would also be good. Drinks weren't bad but its probably best to only order from their drink list. Bar and wait staff we had didn't seem to know or even look up simple shot or drink requests. Not excited to return when there is much better drinks and seafood across the street

First time visiting and the food was really good. You can’t go wrong with the po boy catfish sandwich. I sat at the bar and it took awhile to place an order but my food came out quickly,

This is my second time going to hook and reel ,my first time was last week at bay plaza and the food was amazing which is what push me to go back ,but this queens location was a disappointment, I should have gone back to bay plaza instead. We order fire and the food was so blan zero spice ,they took back our food and say they were going to add more fire sauce but even with the second round it was still not hot ,we were so disappointed because we were so craving this food after our previous visit at bay plaza.staff and server was amazing though .The sweet potato conjun fries was amazing

I can honestly only give this place 3 stars because for the most part the staff is friendly.
But if I give an honest review (and this is just to make the staff aware to work on it, they have work to do).
1st- we were a table of 11. Hoping to enjoy time together and sit together. When we first walked in, we asked if they have two tables that were close, even if they were separated - and we were told no they dont do that, and it would be a 30 minute wait. 50 minutes later, we were sat at a booth that was back-to-back (essentially separated). So they could have done that 50 minutes ago, and it essentially ruined our "togetherness." I will say, about 40 minutes later we were accommodated with a table top that fit us all, via the manager.
Sidebar - our waiter was VERY nice. Once she came to the table she held us down and we appreciate her. However, it took 25 minutes before we were even greeted and brought water. So 50 minute wait...separate table and now another 25 at the table. I can't find any reason that that is acceptable but again once she came she was a whole vibe.
My last complaint is that my food came out with a receipt on top of it..unsanitary much?!!! It should've never been placed on top of my salad but if they did it should've been removed before it hit the table????????♀️(pic below)
Other than that food was decent... the DJ was cool, and my family makes the best of all situations - so we had a good time.
Again, this is a review to make the staff aware. I'm not saying don't try them out and if you do, make sure you see Alex. She's DOPE. But hopefully by the time you come they fix some areas of improvement.
