We love Cafe Beaujolais! The atmosphere is lovely, food is delicious, great wine selection and friendly staff. The live music on Fridays and Saturdays is an added bonus. We’ve been coming here for 20+ years. It’s wonderful for date night, special occasions and cozy mid week dinners when you’re craving a delicious meal.

Food was OK, except the bread, which was a complete failure. Unfortunately, the quality of the bread at a "French" joint needs to be exceptional. It was not, and I can't really remember what else we got. Not a good sign. For the price we paid, it should have been a bit more memorable in good ways. Stick to Petit Trois if you've got high out expectations. It's the same price range.

A neighborhood place with rave reviews, and we wanted to like it.Though the food was fine, it was far too expensive for the decor, and the menu was limited... there were no chicken dishes, for example, and just 3 desserts. The interior ambience was so bad. It was obviously a coffee shop in a previous life. Light blue walls, a dirty-looking brown floor, orange naugahyde benches and bright lighting. Ok, a couple of faded prints of Paris. For $500, they could paint the walls a brick color, put B&W linoleum on the floor, upgrade the lighting, or just get dimmers, and add a few French touches. We were disappointed. Honestly, many taco shops display more visual effort.

Really good place. The service was great. Our mains were good but a little less to our liking. The duck was overcooked as was my filet, I ordered medium rare and it was closer to medium. I didn't mention it as not to cause an issue. The appetizers were quite good however.

It's not super pricey nor is it super cheap. It's a good place, I'd come back again.

My daughter took me to dinner on Mother's Day. We are from Eagle Rock and have been eating here since they opened many years ago.

First the positives: It was clean, wait staff were friendly & attentive, and the live music was very nice. He played french accordion music and ragtime jazz piano. Loved it.

The negatives: We shared an endive salad which was excessively bitter with no dressing to balance; we could not finish it. My daughter's filet mignon, was an inch thick, overcooked with grissle. When mentioned to waiter he apologetically.. sent back to redo the order. When new order came it was a New York with peppercorns. She just ate it as not to wait for a second correction. I got the halibut and it was nice however, less flavorful than I had remembered. We shared a disappointing Apple Tartine that was cold had no flavor and very soggy bottom. It came with 2 tablespoons of very good ice cream. The expresso machine was out of order and the regular coffee arrived lukewarm.

I am a huge fan of French Bistros in general so was happy to find this one in Eagle Rock. A casual bistro with great service and food honestly always sounds good to me. Parking is easy as there is tons of neighborhood and street parking available, the menu has a good selection of items and our server was very polite.

I started off the meal with a personal favorite of mine, French Onion soup, and it really hit the spot on a cold December night. I usually like a darker roux, almost brown, whereas this is a lighter broth but still a very nice taste to it. Followed up with the flamed filet mignon with Roquefort and it was delicious. It was cooked very well and the cheese was a new change for me with steak, but was an easy sell to me since I love cheese. A really all around delightful meal.

I would recommend to anyone especially if you're a fan of bistros. That being said I would not suggest for a birthday or anniversary meal just because of the more casual nature of the place. I will be back again in the future it was a very nice experience.

Very good food in an unsuspecting area. The general atmosphere is fair and detracts from the overall experience this 4 stars. Enjoyed the strip steak with peppercorn sauce. Was cooked as ordered and served hot. Would eat here again.
