First thing I noticed walking in was the cleanliness! Which is the first thing I look for walking in any establishment. I was greeted with a smile (a plus) Greg and Justin are awesome . I called ahead, and my order was coming hot and fresh out the kitchen (another plus). Some places wait til you get there before starting your order which defeats the purpose of calling ahead. Now what your probably wondering is how is the food. It was delicious! I had the jumbo shrimp and smelts breaded to perfection. I will definitely be back to try more items alongside my shrimp, did I mention the price is right also! If you haven’t been get there and support this small business you won’t be disappointed.

Second time there & I swear the shrimp is just like Goose island ❤️. Come to find out one of the original owners from Goose Island is the new owner - the son! Super friendly & clean Shrimp House. Love it ???? Great Taste & great food. Ty for opening up closer and to the community

I was skeptical about " Shrimp Island". The old owners of "Grand Shrimp" that once resided on that corner closed down during Covid. I decided to give "Grand Shrimp" a try and they exceeded my expectations; I go by there at least once a week. My mom loves the fish and chips, and the Jumbo shrimp are my favorite.

Pleasantly surprised by the high quality and speedy services. Within minutes my order was hand breaded and served ready to devour. The frog legs and jumbo shrimp are a must to try.
Quick service. Tasty food. Local establishment.

The food is so horrible. There is way too much batter on the food. Thick crust. The shrimp was over cooked and as hard and chewy as car tire rubber. Shrimp should be soft and moist.
If this is not fixed this restaurant is not going to survive. Too much crust on the food.
The people who are there, they are very nice.

The shrimp house that is now Shrimp Island is freaking amazing. I’m glad the new ownership is very involved with the business. Definitely 10x better than Lawrences in china town and I’ll stand by that! Fresh and amazing food without a doubt.

The food was absolutely amazing. Huge scallops, smelts, and shrimps. Portions were extremely generous. Had a chance to meet the owner Justin. He’s probably one of the nicest human beings you can meet.
Shrimp Island is a fantastic establishment. Please give them a try and I promise you won’t regret it.

Shrimp Island has fresh, made to order, hand breaded seafood. The customer service that I experienced was AMAZING! Great energy in this place! I ordered jumbo shrimp, frog legs, scallops & mozzarella sticks. The food here is fantastic, it’ll make you order one of everything. I will be a regular here!

Shrimp Island will be my new go-to place for lunch, whenever I need something quick, fresh, and delicious.
The location itself is a small, nicely kept, only carry-out restaurant. Hand sanitizer inside, and small bench to sit if you want to wait for food. I’d recommend to call in advance and then pick up. Though waiting time for me has been around 5 min so they’re really quick.
I’ve tried the regular shrimp, fish chips, scallops, potato salad, and fries. They all tasted delicious, freshly done. Portions are also pretty good for the price. Though I’m obsessed with the fish chips with the mild sauce. Considering they’re a new location, I’m impressed. Maybe tartar sauce for future menu?
Service is great - all staff are very friendly and understanding. Owners Justin and Gregg were very attentive.
Their social media is also up to date, so that is also ideal.

I was happy to see this spot had opened after the other fish place here had closed for 2 years! The guy who took care of me name Justin was really nice and even gave me a free bottle of water and brought our food out to the car as I had my two small kids in the car and it was raining heavily. Really good fish chips and fries and the prices were reasonable. My family will definitely be returning!
