This is my second time visiting La Josie & I must say wow! The tacos although smaller, are to die for. Very flavorful especially if you love steak! The guacamole was also very good and had just the right balance of spice. We also did tequila flights which were delicious and very smooth. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for tacos in west loop, make this your stop!

Trendy Mexican spot on Restaurant Row! Go on Tuesdays and they have a Taco Tuesday special menu with deels. Solid food for a 'trendy' restaurant. They also have rooftop tables available during the summer!

We had the chorizo queso, pollo y Baja tacos, a Maracuya alcoholic drink, my husband had the old fashioned drink and we had the churro dessert with ice cream. It was all delicious!! My favorite was the pollo tacos. Phenomenal service, we are already planning our next dine in.

This place was just okay. The location is great (terrible parking of course but they do offer valet which is nice). The rooftop is also amazing but the food was just okay. I ordered shrimp tacos and margarita and wasn’t too impressed.

La Josie has a great location and atmosphere, they have outdoor seating out front. It has a lesser known rooftop deck and bar you can try and request with reservation only. As well as a bar with a dj in the back. The wait staff are attentive and friendly and check on you frequently and very accommodating.
The guacamole trio is delicious and highly recommend for any who goes, we have previously given table salsa but did not on this occasion. The shrimp ceviche is delicious but at $17 for an app serving felt lacking on actual shrimp for the volume of the dish.
Tacos we got on this visit: pork belly, seabass, and battered Mahi Mahi. The batter on the mahi Mahi is perfect and crisp are favorite of the night. The sea bass flavors were over complex and heavy and didn't deliver on the freshness expected. The pork belly had a good ear and crunch, and was generous with the meat.
Drinks we got, tequila tasting flight which was fine and educational on tequila aging and notes. And the margaritas tequila which for us is always a favorite!

This place has a great vibe, good for a second or third date, or meeting with friends. We were supposed to have a res of 4 on the rooftop, but they had a table open inside so we took that instead. One person wanted to try a drink only offered on the rooftop and asked for an accommodation since they asked us to accommodate but denied. Another drink order was made and we had to ask for it to be remade since it wasn't made properly. The food was really good, the guacamole sampler was good, I would stick to original if I go back. 3 out of 4 did tacos, 1 did enchiladas. We all enjoyed everything, the churros were a bit underdone. We all said we would go back but maybe during lunch since it was very loud and busy.

Great atmosphere and the food is so delicious while being authentic and fresh. I would 10/10 recommend. Everything was beautiful placed on our plates and made to order!

Great food and great drinks! Restaurant has a cool atmosphere, perfect for a group of friends or even a date spot. The area around it is nice too! Lots of spots to hop around to for drinks.

I came here last year for restaurant week at dinner time, so I knew I had to come back this year to try their lunch. The food did not disappoint. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, and the food was extremely delicious. The three courses were filling and flavorful. My group also ordered cocktails and loved all of them.

La Josie! A place that never disappoints especially when it comes down to food. I enjoy the atmosphere and dishes here. When I was walking in the restaurant I realized La Josie has a Michelin star!!! Congrats.
In these photos you will see I ordered three orders of tacos: Langosta, Cochinita Pibil & barbacoa!!! Amazing!!! All great flavors the only thing was that the lobster tacos were a bit pricy.. $35 for the dish of 3 tacos. However, everything was amazing. My favorite was the barbacoa because of fresh slaw on top which was jicama & cucumber. Also the Cochinita Pibil because it was so well seasoned and the meat was cooked to perfection.
We sat at the bar and tried different mezcals!
Last but not least the dessert!!! We had the banana blueberry tres leches & omg!!!!! Incredible what fantastic way to end our meal. Great service as always! Thank you!!!
