The rib tips and catfish was horrible,the tips taste like they are preboiled and don’t have a good taste,really dissatisfied,don’t waste your money going here

I love this bbq. I use to live near by them on the West side of Chicago, But i now live on the North side. I will drive to the west side just for their bbq chicken wings or rib tips. The sauce is so on point umm umm Good. Go get some yall. It will be on your mind when you think of what to eat today.

Please don't waste your money on Joe's barbecue. It's the worse I ever had. Back in the day Joe's barbecue was the bomb where when you got his food it was something to brag on. But what they served us tonight was garbage. The so call ribs was old burnt and nothing but fat. I guess they serve the garbage at night when it time to closes too get rid of the old meat. 20 thumbs down. I recommend he get new cooks. The Westside deserve better serve.

Was going to J&J some said try Joe's It was ok. We purchased the cat fish tails It was good but, very little pieces, turkey tips lots of fat skin a little tuff, & we got the wings which was ok. I'm from the south side had better. They were very busy on a Monday.

(1) The *BACK* or skirt part of ribs does NOT make good rib tips!!! They were tough, stringy.
(2) the catfish although fried good, is too boney I thought I was eating buffalo fish.

They’re chicken is flavorful and the sauce is good. The last two times I’ve went in for lunch my chicken wings were old so I stop going. Today I really wanted some so I decided to ask if I could have my chicken fried fresh. Considering the price inflation in wings you’d think such a request wouldn’t be unreasonable. Apparently the lady was offended because she called out and said “I’m frying them fresh” I saw her drop wings and should’ve paid way more attention to them being prepared. When returning back to work less than 5 minutes away my chicken was in fact NOT fresh and the woman gave me the old pieces instead. The chicken was soggy and apparently old!!! I will not be returning there again. I will inform my organization as well, along with all family and friends. For this to be a long standing black owned business, they’re quality of food and integrity most importantly is non existent!!!!shame on you all for treating your own people this way. You want support from your community well support your community/customers with a better attitude!!! No one has to spend their hard own money in a place that doesn’t appreciate it or better yet obviously feels entitled!!! What ever happen to feeling blessed for even being employed at this point in time! Within our black culture we want equality and fair treatment from others but don’t even treat our own people with kindness and respect! I’ll stick with Uncle Remus, Harold’s, and Colemans!..Smh!????????♀️

I ordered the catfish and fries. The man that took my order was very nice. The fish was cooked to perfection. Nice size portions. Only a few French fries was under my fish. The fish could have used more seasoning. I had about a 15-20 min wait, which was fine because my fish was so hot and fresh!

My brother and I are in this contest to find the best bbq in Chicago and I must admit that the rib tips and wings were on point as was the catfish! I must try their other entrees before I admit they are better then others we have tried, however they are definitely a leader!

I ORDERED A BUCKET OF TIPS AND A HUNGRY MAN…OUT OF THE TIPS FROM MY HUNGRYMAN AND THE BUCKET IT WAS ONE GOOD PEICE AND ABOUT 39 BURNED PEICES ME AND MY DAUGHTER WAS STILL VERY HUNGRY AND UPSET AND I FELT TERRIBLE 2 I QUIT WORST RIBS EVER I ALSO NOTICE A TIME BEFORE THAT THEY PUT 4 GOOD RIBS AT THE TOP AND FATTY BURNED RIBS AT THE BOTTOM DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE

It’s a shame that this bbq place has went south. Don’t go here unless you like eating bones with no meat on them. This person today chopped up bones and my tips were more bone than meat. They are slow and unorganized and deaf 50 people in here working and still slow. Get yourself some cooks and professional workers cuz it ain’t even worth the time or money in this new spot.

I'm very upset with this restaurant. I called In a order on yesterday. The lady said it would be ready in 30 min. When I made it there my order was not ready. This was not the problem because I rather you take your time with my order to make sure it's cooked right. The problem is after waiting all that time to get home and find out that my food was old and cold . I order the fish for my mother that can't get out. And depends on me to bring her food. This is unacceptable considering how much food cost today.

I’ve tried this place 3 times, 3 strikes you’re out. I’ve tried the Rib Tips twice and each time were fatty and barely sauced. I tried the Turkey Tips they were mostly bones and skin for $18. Paid for extra sauce and it was barely sauce on the food. While waiting on my food 2 people brought their food back because it wasn’t correct.

Turkey tips had more bones than meat, asked for extra sauce and had barely any sauce. It was my first time there and it will be the last time. When called to inform them of the outcome of my order, I was rushed off the phone. Not good customer service!!!
