My family and I are from Cabrini Greens and I've eaten here for as long as I've had teeth. They're the best shrimp I've ever had.

This place gotten worse over the past couple of years. Now you have to them to fix your food a certain way, because they don't cook like they used to. Now when ask them to fix it a certain way it's still not right they have such a nasty and unprofessional response that will keep me from going back. I've been a customer there before many of them been around.

Great spot for shrimp, I enjoy the flavor and breading on the shrimp. Take out and I've enjoyed my lunch from here. Recommend you try it out.

I have not been here in years. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in. I was so disappointed. I ordered the catfish nuggets and fried mushrooms. The flavor was just bland to me. There were a few tough catfish nuggets and they were full of bones. I couldn't enjoy them for biting into a bone. Sadly, I will not return. The prices were great though. Unfortunately, there's not much I can say, other than I'm not impressed.

My dad used to bring me here && the memories are phenomenal. Can’t say the same for my daughter && I. You’re literally on a quest to find the shrimp under the breading. Smh I guess nothing lasts forever???? still affordable tho, $20 for a jumbo pound w/fries.

Great food as always! Customer service could be better. Understand you must know what you want going to this spot. It's high paced, with taking orders and getting them out. Workers can be a bit impatient, if you don't know what you would like to order. Other than that A1

The fish chips were awesome not too garlicky, not too much batter, not greasy at all. just succulent. A very pleasant eating experience

Something about the breading isn't the same. It was lacking cornmeal. I was upset when I saw the new cups of hot sauce. I said to myself why would they change up the sauce? But after I opened it and dipped a frog leg in it, I was like it's the same sauce, just packaged now. Glad the sauce stayed the same but the breading is a little different. Put that cornmeal back in the batter, or more of it.

This review is for seafood lovers and seafood lovers only. So if you do not like seafood this review is it for you. Now that we’ve got that out the way if you love seafood this is the place for you. I must say this is how seafood should be done. This place has been in business for years and their product is the reason why. If you thought you had jumbo shrimp and you haven’t had them from goose Island shrimp House you haven’t had jumbo shrimp. They have the biggest juiciest succulent jumbo shrimp in Chicago. Located in the heart of Chicago on division a couple of blocks from Halsted this secret Jewel has been treasured for years and will be treasured for years to come. On any day may it be winter spring summer or fall you can arrive at goose Island and find several people outside in their cars enjoying that which makes goose island a five star takeout restaurant. From shrimp to jumbo shrimp to clams oysters and even frog legs you will find that in which you are looking for at goose Island. Make sure you get a side of hot sauce with your fried seafood it is to die for. This is the Best place for fried Shrimp and fresh salads. Been going here for 40 plus years and it still taste the same.
