Super excellent food. Prices a bit high but understandable. High end Chinese sit-down dining at its finest.

I love Yang Chow. Such an amazing restaurant in China town! Each time I visit California this is my go to.. and I travel from Texas. It’s unfortunate we don’t have amazing food out here like this place. There is a reason why there is a line before they open everyday. The prices were great and big portions. I always recommend this place and bring family here to try it out. Excellent service and waiter kept coming to refill beverages!! $$$$$

Came up to LA today from San Diego to eat REAL Chinese food.. this place is amazing! Right in the heart of old Chinatown. This is chicken Kung Pao, scallops and beef and Moo sho chicken. Green tea was also good and just know they do use a tea bag.

Me, My father, his twin brother and my cousin visited this amazing restaurant today as Me and my father are visiting Los Angeles for the week from Georgia.

THIS IS THE BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT I'VE EVER EATEN AT!

the Yang Chow Rice, Sweet and Sour Pork, Hot and Sour Soup, and Slippery Shrimp was amazing alongside the hostess, and the waiters and servers.

When we visit next year I will 100% be returning to This restaurant! Thank you for the amazing service and the food!

We got the Slippery Shrimp, Shrimp Fried Rice and Orange Chicken. Slippery Shrimp was the best one. I was expecting it to be spicier but it still had flavor and a good crunch to it. Would definitely come back. The dumplings are the biggest I’ve ever seen.

An ICONIC Los Angeles Chinese Food restaurant established in 1977 by the 5 Chan brothers. Known for their Slippery Shrimp and Yang Chow Fried Rice (made with pork, shrimp and chicken), this place will have you coming back again and again.

The service is quick and easy. But note, this is not one of those restaurants where you’re going to be doted on, so leave your Western attitude of dining at the door and get ready for some great food.

The menu has so much to offer, but what I can tell you was good from our first and only visit so far is the Slippery Shrimp, the sautéed string beans and the Pan Fried Potstickers. We’ve already made a list of all our loved ones that we’d like to bring here. We’ll certainly be back.

Surprising good. Don't go by the decor or outdoor seating. Order the Shanghai noodles in broth. If you have a dog....outdoors is dog friendly. Skip the spring rolls. They were disgusting.

Wow! A meal that actually exceeded my expectations, Yang Chow served up the best Chinese food I've had in ages, maybe ever! We chose the slippery shrimp which had a pleasant, light crunch and a sweet and tangy sauce, the Szechuan chicken (orange chicken) was fried beautifully but not too oily, and the Yang Chow fried rice (with pork, chicken, and shrimp) was packed with all three meats. The pork wontons were good but next time I'd get what the table over got for appetizers which were the pan fried dumplings or the spicy wonton soup. The service was delightful (after a 30 minute wait, they were VERY busy), the servers was super attentive and the food came out surprisingly fast. Fair and generous portions. Don't skip this one!

When in LA I always try to stop at this spot. They are one of the better restaurants in the area. You have to try the Slippery Shrimp and the Sauteed String Beans which you can get with minced chicken or pork. If you order the Slippery Shrimp to go, you have to open the lid so that the shrimp don't get soggy from the heat and condensation.
