First and foremost, the people who work here have always been very nice to me and the service is great. I have tried the nachos, and a few other items. Great low key Mexican food spot. Everything tasted great, and also was reasonably priced.

Used to come here a long time ago, back in 2009-10, not sure if it was under the same name. It was pretty good. The food today was barely ok and the cashier was professional initially, but wtaf is it when TWO orders who came after me by a few minutes each both got their food about the same amount of time before me? I had a very simple order, 2 Jimmy Tacos (stale taco shells) and a chicken street taco. Not so much as a "my bad" from the cashier, who didn't respond. I sincerely doubt I'd be leaving a Yelp review like this if I was treated better as a customer. And I left a tip on my cc. Definitely regret that.

Used to love this place. Whoever the boss hired that worked today, May 30 2022 at 3:30 PM, needs to be fired. All 3 of them. Call and the dude is completely disorganized and literally takes 4 minutes to put in a Fajita Bowl and Shrimp Tacos. I should have gone somewhere else after that. I arrive and the cashier is talking to the 2 other clowns and trying to make sure the order is right which they probably messed up, because they were going over the receipt for a solid 3 minutes straight. They appeared completely clueless and lost at basic logic. I was shocked how long it took to put in a simple order let alone figure out if the food was made right which demonstrates inexperience. The food itself was OK, not as good as it usually is, but a piece of pork had straight up PINK in the middle. It was a large chunk that obviously wasnt cut up correctly with the shredded nature you would find with Al Pastor. I also had a burned out piece which I’m not sure what is but I assume to be pork. Barely any cheese. Huge boatload of oil. Watery guacamole that was not fresh and obviously from powder. 1/10, not going there again! What a shame! Used to be a big fan. BTW owner fire those 3 young guys who were working there today at 3:30-4:00 ASAP. Completely clueless.

Edit: the next say I suffered food poisoning and had diarrhea. I am going to sue for damages. Never eat here!

I ordered some chicken street tacos, a drink, and some chips and salsa. Chicken came out plain with no seasoning. Almost like it was boiled and then shredded and put on the taco. Their fountain machine was completely flat, no fizz at all Lastly, my chips and salsa came with one very small container of salsa that only was able to fill about 3-4 chips. Avoid it if you have had Mexican food before.

I’ve been to La Plancha a few times in Venice and have been a fan for a while. Although I enjoy Baja California tacos more, this is a good late night spot as long as you make it before midnight. I ordered the fish taco, shrimp taco and beef taquitos. All of them were good and filled me up. I wish they had a spicier red salsa tho. All in all if return no doubt about it.

Great spot! Burritos are big, delicious, and the prices are great. Excellent sauces. Staff are relaxed and helpful, even offered me some tomatillo sauce (perfect!) and chips while I was waiting. Highly recommend.

Plancha Tacos is a taqueria located in Beverly Grove, because wealthy people deserve good tacos too. This modern, fast-casual restaurant has been in operation since 2010 and its industrial-chic décor with its scuffed concrete floors, stainless steel-plated wall, and wood counter tops would have you believe they perhaps have Chipotle-like aspirations, except once you see them begin to grill meats in front of you, and especially when you taste the tacos they serve you, you understand they're actually nothing like Chipotle.

The "Tiger Shrimp Taco" is marvelous. Like any great taco, it starts with great meat: a handful of bodacious shrimp are butterflied and grilled in a lip-smacking garlicky marinade, then laid on an bubbly bed of melted jack cheese, and sprinkled with onion and cilantro. The double corn tortillas used here are griddled firm. They are not made in-house, but sourced from a local tortilleria that knows what's up, as they are the rare example of a bag tortilla that I enjoyed eating. I used the yellow habanero salsa on this taco, which made it even better. Speaking of salsas, their chunkier salsa cruda is great with the complimentary tortilla chips provided -- a little sweet, a little spicy, and made with noticeably fresh-tasting produce.

For a completely different taco, I tried the "Chile Verde Breakfast Taco." This was a mountain of food on a flour tortilla: tomatoes, pork, tomatillo sauce, refried black beans, and a mound of fluffy scrambled eggs. This is a taco I would not be surprised to see on "Man v. Food" one of these days. In addition to its audacious bulk, it was a good taco. I poured the smoky salsa roja from the salsa bar onto it, which contrasted, but in a good way.

Come here hungry and you won't need to spend a lot to leave full: both of these tacos were less than $4 each and were excellent value given their quality and size. Two tacos from Plancha Tacos are more than enough for breakfast or lunch, and probably just right for dinner.

Service was fantastic. Good menu selection. Food. Poked fresh to order not off a steam table. Price reasonable and quality better than the aberage taco shop

This is a convenient location on 3rd. However, the store is very small with a few seats in and outside. I had the Nachos with beef and cheese which was good but nothing amazing.

The price at $7.50 was high for nachos not much better than taco bell at $5.

My table was also dirty so I had to ask a staffperson to clean it which she did but the place was slow late night and should have been clean when I sat down.

I may try this place again for a Taco but it is pretty avg fare with poor seating and atmosphere
