Amazing and great friendly family oriented staff. Real people preparing real awesome food. I've never had anything I didn't like. I've been told the ox tail is to die 4. Considering it for my next order. Mark us a attentive wise proprietor and loves to be hands on. A must stop n try beef ribs are out of this world.

Great food been here twice so far and the food has been fantastic each time. So far I've had the fried chicken and the gumbo bothe were so good the chicken. Was nice and crispy the gumbo had an amazing taste. I also had the peach cobbler and that was fantastic I highly recommend this place because I'm definitely going to go back and get something new.

Very friendly staff. Parking on weekends can be challenging. Food was good. The ribs were meaty and good. I didn't care for the macaroni salad.

Great little quaint place, staff and atmosphere good. Day we went, we ate pork ribs & they were a bit tough - it happens. We will go back, their Bar-b Que sauce etc, were delicious ????

I'm really prepared to change this rating to 5 stars! The women who helped me were so nice and just great all around!
I was really looking forward to trying a lot of things but they were out of basically everything on that list. The food looked beautiful but was extremely salty! The mashed sweet potatoes luckily made a little bite of food edible but basically everything but was extremely overly salty, especially, and most unfortunately, the collard greens! I want to go back and give them another shot because I would like to believe maybe I just ordered later in the day than I should have and got the serving at the bottom of the pot or something.

Great food, service and atmosphere! Everything is made in house and it's fantastic. Took a date here for the 1st time and we'll definitely be returning for future meals! Look forward to hearing the live music next month as well. Just go, you won't regret that decision!

The food was absolutely amazing. Pricing is incredible and hostess made sure we had all we needed. This is for sure a go to. Make sure you don’t have to drive far because you will get sleepy after how awesome the food, feel and music is. My new spot. Truly a Gem.

First time having soul food in LA, it was LIT!! This was some of the best shrimp I've ever had. It was tender, crisp & fresh!! I had the catfish too but the shrimp is where it's at!! The customer service was bomb too, shorty with the locks gives good recommendations.

This place is the real deal for Cajun food. Very friendly staff and owner, so legit Louisiana hospitality. The gumbo roux was rich and well spiced. Gives my granny's a run for her money. My girlfriend loved the shrimp etouffee and she's pretty particular when it comes to seafood dishes. Lastly, best hush puppies I've had, hands down. If you like Cajun food or are interested in trying the real thing, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

It was very pricey for the portion but the food was great. I hate how their processes are antiquated. There is not online ordering nor is there a system for determining how long of a wait you will endure. I was told by Vanessa my food would be ready 20-25 minutes, it ended up taking close to an hour(exact total wait time 55 minutes). Most of the food was warm except for the shrimp, it was cold. As for the brisket, request lean if you don’t want fat because they will give you the pieces with fat and not good at all if you’re a meat person. Macaroni salad was amazing. The fries were also good. The shrimp was good too. I like how thick the shrimp was. The pork chop was plain it was still good. Overall the food was great. The customer service was alright. I believe I wouldn’t go back due to wait time because it was too long of a wait on that side of town after ordering.
