Going to Mofongo made us feel we were in Puerto Rico. If you come for the first time to this restaurant I would definitely suggest you the Mofongo. They even offer a vegan option which was exceptional and delicious. The meat version was good but meat was not the best. All the food served were fresh. It is very possible you must wait for being seated in the restaurant. The service is also kind of slow but they are just two of them working.

I am a huge fan of this place. They're the only restaurant within plane trips that offer authentic Caribbean Cuisine at reasonable prices. Anything guisado is a must. Mofongo is a must. The drink, Morir Soñando, is a must. Leaving full is mostly an obligation, but not a chore. I can wholeheartedly recommend the original mofongo with any of their meat choices. You really can't go wrong. The rice and beans are truly on point, every time. This trip marked the first time I tried their bacalaíto and I was not disappointed. The Mofongo restaurant is my personal gem in LA. The staff is bilingual, helpful, and extremely accommodating. Since the pandemic they've done outdoor seating that I find to be a huge plus. I cannot wait to go back.

Being married into the Puerto Rican family, I've always been interested in the food. I never got to try anything except the pasteles, and figured it was time to finally try a Mofongo!

Mofongos is a cute little shop a few blocks away from NoHo Arts District. The interior is filled with fun Puerto Rican decorations and cool tables that feature various things from Puerto Rico. The menu offers a variety of options for those who don't want to eat Monfongo, but for those who do, they have a plethora of different protein options to pair with your Mofongo of choice!

We decided to share a platter of the Todo Un Poco, so I could try other appetizers and the Mofongo de Bistec Encebollado.

The appetizer was really yummy, and I highly recommend it. Practically everything was fried, and delicious. I enjoyed Alcapúrria the most, I loved the bouncy texture of the yucca.

When the Mofongo arrived, I was really excited to try it. I loved all the flavors in the sauce, and appreciated all the garlic. It reminded me of mashed potatoes, but with way more flavor! Would love to try their other protein pairings in the future, like the chicken or the pork!

So glad to have finally tried a Puerto Rican staple! I can honestly say it's a new favorite of mine, and can't wait to eat it again! Go to Mofongos and try their amazing Mofongo now!

Finding Puertorican food in Los Angeles is difficult, but I found a perfect gem. This restaurant took me back to the island, the food quality and taste was on point.

From the moment I got in, you get greeted with a lot of happiness and Puertorican hospitality. I ordered the sample platter as a starter and was yummy. I followed up with a couple of their mofongos and I literally thought I was back in Puerto Rico ????????

Make sure to give it a tried and let me know what you think. Keep on eating my friends and stay healthy.

If you're looking for traditional Puerto Rican cuisine done right then this IS the place to go to in LA. Mofongos in North Hollywood is a cozy, small restaurant and you'll have to find street parking, but worth going out if you want legitimate Puerto Rican food!

Their Mofongos is very well-made and a hearty dish that is perfect for when you need something comforting and filling. The sweet plantains will accompany the dish as well and are known as "Amarillos" that helps to balance the savory and thick mofongo. You can get it topped with various proteins, but I went the classic route and got the Pollo Guisados.

Also, if you want a sampling of their appetizers, get the De Todo Un Poco Platter, which will have all of the classic Puerto Rican appetizers. Super delish and my favorite was the Pasteles and Alcapurrias! Soooo good!! Classic street-style food elevated!

For drinks, if you like eggnog then get the Coquito which is a fabulous coconutty and rum filled drink that is sooo succulent and creamy. It's popular around the holiday season so this is a must now!

Lastly, another classic dessert is the Tembleque, which is like a coconut pudding. Not overly sweet and extra creamy as well. Very well made and it shakes just as what its name means! *jiggle, jiggle*

Overall, the perfect place to get some exceptionally well-made and legitimate Puerto Rican cuisine! Definitely check it out!!

Magnificent mofongo????
Superb service
Quaint, hole in the wall restaurant
The chicken breast mofongo and bistec sandwich were delicious. I only wish there was a little bit more sauce on the sandwich, but overall, very delicious take on mofongo
