Was there for dinner. Carrots with yogurt and honeycomb were really good. biscuits were good too. I really enjoyed turkey with mashed potatoes. Cocktails are delicious. I’ve tried a gin based one

We had an AMAZING experience here. The atmosphere was so relaxing. Our server was super nice and welcoming. The food and drinks were insanely good - I HIGHLY recommend the toffee date cake: so decadent and luxurious. Perfect spot for a romantic date.

The food and drinks are very good. Excellent service, and very nice environment. We had a family-style meal and everything was delicious. The salad was the talk of the table. The meatballs, chicken, and peppers plates were also very well made. We’ll be back.

Hatchet Hall is a gem.

Food was as impeccable as the service. Your glass of water will never be empty here. No sir.

Our table ordered half the menu and we were not disappointed. We ordered ricotta toast (my favorite), biscuits, grilled peaches, old bay fries, deviled eggs, watermelon salad, grilled avocados, okra, grilled head of lettuce, shishito peppers, mussels, kampachi ceviche and pork belly.

All delicious and beautifully prepared.

Drinks are also great and pairs well with their food. I was drinking their whiskey reserve all night.

Venue is great for small or large parties with both inside or outdoor seating. They have private dining rooms as well but requires a fixed menu.

Parking can be tough - valet available.

Fresh, local California cuisine with a hidden whiskey bar (Old Man Bar). Unfortunately the whiskey bar was closed for a private event, but we enjoyed a delightful meal in the restaurant. Note that they’ll only accepted reservations for large groups, so it’s walk-in only. There’s indoor and heated outdoor patio seating. You don’t get seated until the entire party is present, but you can hang out at the bar until then.

For the four of us, we split five dishes plus dessert. There were vegetarian options. I was told by multiple people to get the cornbread, but we opted for the ricotta toast instead (you can get ham on the side). Note that the food comes out as it’s ready. The wedge salad is like a grown up Cobb salad, with delectable bits of lardons interspersed the leaves. It was quite drenched in ranch dressing, so be mindful of that. The Brussel sprouts were amazing and had a great flavor. The lentil stuffed red pepper was alright, I would skip it. The Branzino was tender and came as a whole fish - the server who brought it out kindly filleted it for us. We ended with the sticky toffee pudding cake, which I would highly recommend.

The ambiance was laidback and the patio was really pretty. It’s a good spot for a date or a small group catch up. Credit cards accepted. There’s restrooms available behind the bar to the right. There was a small parking lot that used to be valet-only pre-Covid, but I didn’t see anyone there when I went. Otherwise, street parking. Overall, it’s a pricey but tasty experience.

Well made but maybe too heavy handed with the butter and sugar. The cornbread with shishito peppers was yummy, it was also covered with a butter frosting. The brussel sprouts were well salted with a tangy taste, a tad over fried. The pork belly was slow braised and fell apart easily. The gnocchi potato skin dish was pretty interesting with crispy potato thins. The lasagna was just ok. The toffee cake dessert was amazing in flavor, yet also frosted in butter

I had my birthday at Hatchet Hall on Friday April 8 and it was phenomena! Foods was ten out of ten , drink was great and delicious. It tasted so good and the service just makes going to this restaurant a good time! Book well in advance if you want a good table for party. The pink cocktail, I still think about it, so delicious! Our guests had a wonderful time too. In addition, Chef Wes make his way out to my party to celebrated and checked on our foods! This place is pretty and much worth the hype! Special thanks to Jennifer our party planner to make a successful birthday party for me.We will come back for my husband birthday party in May!

Looking for a chic night out in LA with the cool crowd? Look no further! But the hostess staff sure does like to treat you like you’re not quite lucky enough to be there… severely misquoting wait times with an attitude that deters many from waiting around. Pro tip: if they say 45 min to an hour, that really means 15-30 minutes, so be strong! It’s a big restaurant with lotsss of tables. And if you’re in a hurry, try your luck at the bar.

Once we got past the host staff, our server certainly turned things around. But the real star of Hatchet Hall is the food. Inventive and unique dishes from the mind of a mad chef with talent pouring from their hands. The menu changes constantly which makes each visit a bit different from the last.
