Went in on a Saturday it was busy as I expected. This has been the first mexican restaurant were I have to say that the rice and beans were actually delicious. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were very good. For dessert I wanted the abuelitas chocolate cake but they didn't have it so I went with the strawberry cake instead and omg I have to say that this cake is better than Portos cakes. Over all I loved this restaurant and the ambience of this place is amazing. Definitely going back ITS A PLACE YOU DONT WANT TO LEAVE!!

Overall really good. The staff is nice and serve pretty quickly. Food is good and the drinks are
bomb. Just make sure you get there early because even though its a big restaurant, it gets packed pretty quickly.

Had a Cadillac flaming margarita, the best and strong! Ordered the chicken salad with a side of blue cheese dressing. Will be back, no doubt.

Visiting from England, this restaurant was just next door to our hotel and recommended on a tour we made. We didn’t know what to expect behind the dark , almost forbidding front door, but what a joy! Although very noisy inside, it exudes atmosphere with the red seating , dim lighting and bustling servers. We waited 20 mins for a table which gave us time to try the margaritas at the bar. Oh my god! So so good. Chance to chat to a regular too. At our table we asked our server to recommend a couple of dishes and he did so well. It took a while to come but there were tortillas and salsa to start. We loved it there: it really brought our visit to LA to a great end . Onwards to San Diego ……..

The food was wonderful!! The staff was quick, efficient and kind. I got them enchiladas Verde de pollo. Which was a great pick. The food came fast. The atmosphere and music were amazing. Part of the time there was live music as well which was a nice touch.

The only downside is they do not take reservations for 2 people so be prepared to wait. We were told 25-30 minutes for a wait but it was over an hour. But if you're willing to wait it's worth it.

Place is very dim inside. Took me 10 min for my eyes to adjust! Hostess wouldn't seat us until we had at least half our party there. Even though they had our table ready and the place was not busy. Woman's bathroom was dirty and cramped. The food and margaritas made up for those negatives though! Amazing margaritas. I had a coconut pinapple one and it was the best I had. There were bits of coconut in it. Apparently they don't use any syrups and its all natural liquors and flavorings. Also so fun that it comes out flaming. The guac was really good. Big portion and super flavorful and fresh. I had a steak quesadilla and loved it. Very cheesy and the steak wasn't chewy and had a great flavor. I had the whole thing. $15 the flan was very good too for dessert. Not too sweet and a good consistency.

Server did a good job catering to our large group and coming back to take more drink orders.

I would come back again!

First time trying this place out, and sure glad we did. Was seated very quickly, took a little while to order, and get food, but was definitely worth the wait, my burrito was out of thos world good, and my wife said was best chili relleno she has had in a long time. Definitely will recommend this place, and be back for sure

Love the old school décor. The seating is beautiful! The service was not great at the time we were there (just before closing) and the food took a ridiculously long time to come out. Lighting is very dim, so it could be a romantic place to eat, it's just very loud. Fun place to get together with friends though.

This is my neighborhood Mexican food spot and honestly I don't come here enough. The chips and salsa are ????, drinks good (they're known for their flaming margaritas), service always friendly and really fast, it's almost alarming how fast the food comes out, and of course the food is ???? too. They don't take reservations and it does get very busy at night/weekends so be prepared to wait.
