Seated immediately, booths and corner tables, diner. Hamburger Specials and desserts written on board overhead. Very interesting food combinations that sound weird but somehow work together to compliment the taste. The pies are fantastic and very generous slices of cake , chocolate or carrot cake. But of trivia: Justin Timberlake made video there for Trolls " Can't Stop the Feeling"

Really good diner, with a manageable menu of great tasting dishes, in a cosy space with friendly and helpful staff.

All of the food was very tasty, and the short wait for a table was well worth it. Prices were reasonable too, and the portions were of a good size.

Really good food. Not a lot of choices but they did really well with the food that they made. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and soup and somehow that soup was like really good and they did magic with a grilled cheese sandwich. I also had the chocolate cake because, why not.? It was awesome also. Too much for one meal so I actually had leftovers which I ate the next day.. Would definitely go back there. I like a place with a parking lot too and it had a good parking lot.

Classic Eagle rock pie shop! This place has some of the best pie and all of Los Angeles. Great breakfast menu. Be prepared for a wait. Very popular! A number of movies have also been filmed here. I suggest getting the lemon pie or the chocolate pie. The retro orange seeds are pretty amazing! Also the staff is super nice!

According to some friends, Cindy’s has been around for many years. Staff are really friendly and genuine. The food is really good. I had their Smoked Chicken Gumbo and it had a lot of flavor. Their chocolate chip waffles are soft, tender and really delicious. Service is fast, there is always a spot to sit.

If you still have room for dessert, do not miss out on their fresh cakes/pies.

I mean it's a cool little spot, but the food was just alright. I had the waffles and they added some gourmet flavor to it which is I'm not a fan of. It's good that I tried this place but I don't think I'll ever go back. Like I'd go to iHop first to get good waffles than this place.

Outstanding deep south cooking in a diner environment. The prices are very reasonable for LA. We had four dishes and a couple of sides. Two dishes were Two Free Range Eggs with sausage and potatoes and toast (one had chorizo mixed in). We also had a fried chicken plate that was perfectly cooked with delicious cole slaw and black eyed peas that were the best I've ever had--sweet barbeque sauce and rosemary were the strong flavors. Last dish was the Smoked Brisket Hash. They dispense with a food mill/grinder and instead fine dice everything--brisket, sweet potatoes, red onions and red peppers. Every flavor comes through on its own and compliments each other. Our sides were sweet potato fries (delish!) and grits (clearly made with a ton of butter and probably cream too--yum!). Highly recommend!

Send this is like stepping back in time with a modern vibe. Lots of local eagle rock regulars there. Their menu surprises me with so many choices great quality food. I have had the Rubin and The Pulled pork. My wife has the short ribs and the spaghetti and meatballs. We love their blueberry custard pie. I Highly recommended this place!
