So we tried this place for the first time. My stepdad ordered the menudo which came with a piece of metal from metal scrubbers. He actually put it in his mouth. Talk about disgusting! We spoke to manager/owner. Any good manager or owner would have discounted his meal. Did he? Nope. Because of the lack of customer service skills we will not return. The waitres was great Wendy. But still would not go back. Because of Wendy I scored it a 2.

Just like eating at your Abuelas. Great breakfast tacos. I love the machacado con salsa. For lunch try their calabacitas con pollo. Friendly owners and staff.

Ordered a Texas plate with cheese enchiladas and beef fajita.
It was all pretty tasteless. It was not fajita they served som lower quality meat. The taste was not good at all and over cooked.

Trying this place a 1st time on 8/7/22 (745am). Came in, just opened & greeted nicely. Ordered the chiliquiles breakfast plate/no cheese. Pretty decent. Fixed w/chips-a little soggy, eggs a little dry but good portions served with refried beans/potatoes. Homemade chips/red sala/green salsa were good. Great service. Brisk Sunday AM business. We'll be back for a sample of lunch. Give them a try ????

Good small family owned restaurant. Calabacita on Fridays, don't pass it up. Can also get breakfast at lunch. Friendly staff and owner. Will definitely go back.

Update! The food at Abuela's is consistently good. Always a great selection of daily lunch specials.
A family owned Mexican restaurant with very friendly attentive servers. Amazing overall staff that greet customers with a big smile.
My favorite here is the Menudo, Country Guisado Tacos, 911 Special, Chile Relleno, Enchiladas Mexicanas and Huevo Rancheros.

Came in by accident and im really happy we did. What a great authentic mom n pop restaurant. Very nice service from the ladies! Here at noon on a Sunday this place is filled with other Latino families. A good sign. I feel if i go eat at a Chinese restaurant and the patrons are Chinese then thats the place to go to. Just like here. The tacos are huge. I asked for guacamole n it was made fresh for me! I didnt order the Menuedo but a lot of others did. I want to try it next time. Great breakfast spot. Coffee was strong n hot. We will come back.

First visit... Lively atmosphere, friendly customer service, & obviously frequented by a lot of regular clientele. Menudo to go was delicious. If you pick up the large, consider asking for extra condiments & tortillas if not already provided.
