The staff was super friendly and welcomed us graciously even though we came in a little closer to closing time than we try to (about 30 minutes out).
The food was good but the waitress recommended we come back to try their sushi and dessert so I'm waiting to see how that goes before finalizing my star rating.
Overall, a good place thay I would recommend for someone in the area. Good parking, lots of seats, good ambiance, friendly staff.

I'm in town for work and this place is a couple of blocks from my hotel. Oh how lucky I was!! Everything is absolutely delicious. I had tempura, sushi, Chashu buns and sweet potato creme brulé. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Service was phenomenal as well. I definitely plan on returning

OMG! This place did not disappoint! The food was stellar. The service was even better. A young man named Phon waited on us and made us feel like we were in a Michelin star restaurant! Honestly, anything that you would order here would be delicious. All of this very reasonable prices. I was surprised when I got the check that it wasn't a lot more. The place was tastefully decorated as well. I loved my experience here! You will too!

Absolutely loved the food and the staff and the owner. The service is so incredible and the food is absolutely delicious. My fiance and I wanted to have a date night and were exploring new restaurants in the area and are so glad we decided to stop by for dinner because we have a new favorite date night spot. We both got appetizers to share, tonkatsu, and the sweet potato creme Brule (picture) and all of it was delicious! Looking forward to going back!

I recently tried this restaurant during my trip to Houston from New York City, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was, compared to the Japanese restaurants I've eaten at in Manhattan. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, as well as the service being very fast. The crispy rice roll was a favorite at my table, and the Tonkotsu Base Shyoyu ramen was flavorful and filling. Really great dishes for such an affordable price. Will definitely be back when I visit Houston again!

We were in town and decided to try this place out. So glad we did! We had the shaggy dog sushi and shrimp tempura for an appetizer. Melt in your mouth! So delicious! We each had a bowl of ramen and were very pleased. For dessert, we ordered the tempura ice cream. It was a nice end to a nice meal. The service was excellent. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back when back in town.

Taro is the new name for this restaurant. Everything is new, flavors & tastes included. Very refreshing new look space. Their cripsy roll is totally significant to try. You can also customize certain rolls. Extremely kind & friendly waiter

My favorite place to eat. The general manager is so awesome and a really good guy. The wait staff are really friendly. The cook staff is also amazing. The food is to die for. I can’t get enough of it. It’s not often when the food actually looks like the pictures on the menu. Delicious. The price for it is really good as well. The interior is really cozy and so clean. I really recommend this place.

Great food and services, very friendly staffs, and nice ambience. Have been there multiple times with family, friends and clients. Ramen, rolls and buns are all very tasty. Also tried the test course menu, which are gorgeous. Excellent taste and presentation. Love the temari sushi and snow crab roll. Highly recommended!
