First time going, very quiet environment, server was not really helpful when asking questions. I never been so i wasnt aware of how it works. I wasn't a fan of the seating. The food was okay. The chicken and waffles were good but I would have preferred actual chicken instead of chicken steaks. The coffee was not the best but it will do. Was a little disappointed they had no hot chocolate on the menu, not the syrup option. Over all was a great breakfast, I would recommend you give them a try.

Great diner experience. In an improving neighborhood and the diner itself is nice. Food is better than you’d think, certainly a higher bar than the diner name. Biggest piece of chicken fried steak I have ever seen.

A cute little restaurant in the Heights. My friend and I stopped there for breakfast on Saturday morning and must have managed to time it during a lull. We decided to split the CFS, grits, and eggs served with toast. It was delicious and just the right amount. The atmosphere reminded me of the old-fashioned diners of my childhood. There was also outdoor seating but since it was August in Houston, TX we chose to eat inside this time.

This is a great spot for breakfast. Bought my bf here after I came by myself and he fell in love with the Chicken and Fruit Waffles. The chicken is very well seasoned and always hot. Now anytime he wants a waffle this is our go to place.

Specifically made a stop here today while downtown to get a wrap I had before that I loved but won't be returning after today after biting into and finding hair buried in my wrap. No one in the kitchen was wearing hats or hair nets and the girl working the front counter just kept saying how it wasn't hers cause she wasnt even in the kitchen today. They were nice enough to offer me a refund but it won't take this nasty experience out of my mouth. Literally.

Chicken and waffles is a guest favorite. No one in my group ordered this and we regretted that mistake. The food was tasty.
Order at the counter and they’ll bring the food to you. You grab your own utensils and coffee/drinks. There are indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor vibe reminds you old an old diner but Heights/more updated style.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a casual, good food spot.

The staff was very friendly, and the place had this little retro look. The food took a bit because the kitchen was barely opening. However the food was so delicious. I recommend the chicken friend steak, it comes with 2-3 eggs, toast, and potatoes. Everything was amazing and totally worth the 20-30 minute drive.

Food was very good! My daughter had the chicken and waffles. Juicy chicken breast fried crispy. I had the so cal omelette. Giving 4 stars because the silverware wasn’t the cleanest. Didn’t see any plastic ware, but I didn’t ask either. Will be returning!

I have been a fan of Lola for years and years!!
Today I was a bit disappointed that they have changed up their sweet potato fries! They used to have sea salt and rosemary in them. Today they were very plain and greasy. The overall quality doesn’t seem the same as in the past.
