Relaxed vibe and good burgers. You can tell that the burger patties are hand formed. We sat outside in the evening and it was nice. Also watched a group playing Jenga.

I used to be a regular here before the building caught on fire during the Astros playoff run last year. Ever since I've returned after it reopened, it's just not the same. There's a strong off-putting wood smell when you walk in. I don't understand how anyone can stand it. It's not the wood smell in the lumber section at Home Depot but something much worse. Like a chemical smell mixed in with fresh cut lumber. It must be from the fire. Also the bartenders are big, angry and unfriendly. I'm not sure if it's from having to deal with the smell all day or the fact that this place loves just loves to open up all the french doors like it's 75 degrees out in Southern California. I'm not sure why the owners like to pretend the weather is nice out right now so let's open every door, window, roll-up door we can find. Well it's not. It's 105 degrees out on average. All I want is good AC, smiling faces, odorless interior and ice cold beer. Unfortunately this place just can't deliver the basics. There are too many other options out there.

Great spot to grab a cold one! Pet friendly spot with lots of seating. Snacks were decent. Can't remember her name now but the bartender was really nice and suggested some cool places for us to check out!

Cool patio. Waiting for the reopen.

April 2022, they're reopen. Bar changed a little, for the better. It's a lot more open than before.

Staff are good people. They keep the drinks moving.

Strolled into this gem recently, it felt like a fun and relaxed local spot to watch a game or have a kiki. The patio is a true selling point and the service was a 10. We never waited long for a drink and our bartender (Emery) had a fun vibe, she made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend this spot.

Walked in shortly after open, we liked the rustic look. The service was not good service, I think smiles costed extra. Happy hour prices were not applied to the receipt until asked. It was added after a, “ So you you want me to refund you a $1?”. We were treated as if we were in the wrong for having an incorrect receipt. The bartender, bless her heart, seemed like she didn’t want to be there and her actions body language showed that.

The food was over priced as well. Fries tasted like the freezer, flat bread was the size of a pop tart, and the mint in the mojito was wilted and dark.

We were also the only customer there.
Over all a rough experience and wouldn’t recommend.

This place is NOT dog friendly. We have a vocal dog that takes a bit to calm down and relax in a new environment. Every establishment we’ve taken her to has taken time to provide water and greet the dogs as well as us, but we were asked to leave within a few minutes of arriving - something that has NEVER happened to us in over a year of taking our dog out.

To the owner, you did NOTHING to welcome our dogs. No water, treats, nothing. We were at your establishment for less than 10 minutes. Our dogs have never caused anyone any harm, they just need time to adjust. If you really want to be “dog friendly”, you need to change your attitude to how you treat dogs at your establishment. We had a GREAT time at Barkley’s in Midtown and our dogs were very happy. Glad you drove us off! We’ll be letting Houston locals know your establishment isn’t all it’s up to ????????‍♀️

A casual place with a nice ambience that allows kids until 8 pm. We went there for drinks and bites after a walk in the Park. We went around 6 pm and could have kids with us. Liked the beer and the ambience with fun quotes all over that’s bound to make you chuckle. They had outdoor sitting which worked great for us. Except for our server majority staff was not wearing masks though. Their egg rolls were nice.

This place is awesome. It's super casual with a fun couple tending the bar. The drinks were good and I'd definitely go back to try more cocktails or just kick back with a beer. I love the outdoor seating! The best part-- dogs are allowed on their patio! ????????
