Not the greatest experience. Completed skipped over our order and didn't care to do much about it. The meats were delicious but, the sides need some work. Mac and cheese, green beans and beans completely lack in taste. I was excited but I am not sure if I would come back. The baked potatoes were huge and stuffed with meat! No indoor seating so be aware if you want to get attacked by flies.
This is my favorite BBQ place in Houston. I have always thought the BBQ in Houston was just okay, but then I came here. When my family from out-of-state come visit this will be a must-take-them-to-restaurant. The food is absolutely remarkable. The flavor of the ribs and sausage was ????????????. My favorite place for BBQ was Terry Black in Austin, but now I can say I have a favorite place there and here in Houston.

I will admit, I have not eaten here in probably 3 years, and that's because the last two times I've tried to go, there are picnic tables in the accessible parking spot. Why?? Do they not want patrons in wheelchairs to visit their business and buy their products? I'm not entirely sure, but this might not even be legal.
Two stars, only because when I ate there before, it was decent.

One of my friends wanted BBQ and suggested we go here because he loved it. He was right. This place has some down home BBQ with great sides. Be prepared to wait as this is not fast-food, but it is worth it.

Really enjoyed Burns
Ribs 2 huge meaty ribs, a little under done but decent pull, didn't love the rub but still very good 4 stars
Sausage - loves it. Had the spicy and it was awesome 5 stars
Beans- highlight of the meal. Sweet bbq w plenty of meat. 5 stars
Potato salad- fantastic mustard pot salad, 4 stars because of serving size. Tiny little cup.
2 meat platter $16, great value. Plenty of food. No regrets. 5 stars
Only canned or bottle drinks, kinda odd. Where's the huge cups of ice tea?

Wow, I stumbled across this hidden yet popular gem while out today . When I first passed by it I saw the lunch crowd and diversity of people which caught my eye. After, finishing my business in the area o returned to check out the scene. My, my,my ! They have it going on. I entered the building for BBQ as they also have a burger building . The inside was cool.and clean. The staff was super nice , once I mentioned it was my first time, a nice gentleman gave me a personalized shout out over the intercom, it's was so funny and welcoming. I ordered the brisket sandwich. There orders come out relatively fast for a BBQ joint! My food my delicious. It's so great to see black owned businesses prosper and the crowd was so diverse as I said before . So many professionals on lunch . People of all ages and colors . Love it . Keep prospering and serving .

Before you even catch a glimpse of this place, you can smell the delicious barbecue that awaits you as you drive on the streets nearby. When you arrive, it is very evident how much the community loves this place. There is ample parking, and yet it seemed to be consistently full.
There was no wait to order, and the staff was exceptionally friendly.
The food is delicious and the barbecue sauce is fantastic.

I am UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED right now. I wanted some good BBQ for my birthday so my husband drove from Magnolia to pick up our order. When he got home with the order, we were missing a WHOLE 2 meat plate. I called to get a credit and was told that they can’t do refunds over the phone. I JUST SAID MY HUSBAND DROVE FROM MAGNOLIA TO GET THE ORDER, SO NO I DON’T WANT TO GO BACK FOR A CREDIT…I could have gotten over the $16 plate I didn’t receive if the food had actually been good. But, for my birthday, I got less than sub-par food. For $95 we got poorly packaged meals consisting of dry chicken, burnt brisket and (I don’t know how the ribs would have been because we DIDN’T get the 2 meat dinner with ribs.) The rice was not “dirty” and the beans were dry. And the macaroni and cheese….was bright orange…Couldn’t possibly be home-made. There’s no way our food was fresh. And the sausage was flavorless. I don’t think it even touched a pit because there was no smoke flavor..Maybe all the “real cooks” are at the rodeo cook-off because the food was no where near as good as I remember. BURNS BBQ will not win ANYthing at the rodeo cook-off with that kind of food.
And, to the management at BURNS BBQ, customer service can make or break a business. A happy customer will be a repeat customer. Needless to say, we will not return to Burns.
With that being said, we’re going to Whataburger and our $95 BURNS BBQ meals are going in the trash. Happy Birthday to me….

Great down home bbq joint. All meats were delicious, especially the sausage and ribs. Brisket was a little dry. Smoked chicken was the best. Sides of beans an potato salad were just like your momma made them.

Our kids talked us into trying Burns. Wifey and I shared a three meat plate with two sides. My wife asked for moist end sliced brisket, I don't think that's what we got, it was good but a little chewy. The chicken sausage was good, the pork ribs were good. The green beans were good and the mac n cheese hit the spot. Picked up a nice black BBQ t shirt with a pic of the founder on it.
