Bar 2200- wanted to be “upscale” but misses the mark. We had booked a reservation on eventbrite before we even left Atlanta. When we arrived at the venue, they said they no longer have a partnership with them so our reservation wasn’t honored. They made us wait but we’re able to seat our group of 9 within a few minutes. There weren’t many people there so it was no surprise they found us a spot. The building itself and outdoor patio area we sat in could use a facelift. The flooring, decor and such was old and needed maintenance ( laminate flooring on patio and decorative “grass” on the walls). The brunch menu did not have much to choose from - no eggs at all on the brunch menu. Just variations of grits and French toast. We got the mimosas which we mixed ourselves at the table $30, because individual drinks at $18 and up seemed ludicrous. The DJ/ music was good and the food that we had was enjoyed by our group. My shrimp and grits was tasty, although a tad bit salty for my liking. This place was ok, but not a spot I’d return to if ever visiting Houston again.

Nice vibes and later happy hour but music loud af , you can’t talk to someone in your party without yelling. You can feel the music vibrating through your body because it’s so loud and that’s what sucks. Don’t advertise as a bar/lounge if you’re going to blast music like a nightclub… suggestion, turn music up after 11-close. People entering before coming for vibes and conversation.

Came to this place to celebrate a high school friend of mine and had a great time. The DJ was awesome. Played all them good ole songs. Meet some new friends that’s for sure. Drinks were a bit pricey but how can you go to a bar and not drink. Will definitely have to go again.

Well.. Certain menu items aren't available on certain days. But this is still a nice place to try. Hostesses were friendly and the food was tasty

Iv been to this bar a few times, but hadn’t been in a while because of the service and experience. It wasn’t too great.
I recently attended for a meeting with some friends and was serviced by a bartender named Alex, and when I tell you she made me feel so welcomed- I truly mean that. I will most likely be back just because of her. She really changed my mind about patronizing this business and I truly appreciate people like her. I will be back. Food was great and the hookah as well was reasonably priced.

I was visiting Houston for my girl birthday. We decide to do brunch here. We didn’t have a reservation but they accommodated us with table. So first the table an bench was completely dirty, had to ask them to clean it.
Ordered the regular margaritas completely juice for 15$. Food however was amazing lamb chop/ shrimp an grits amazing.
French toast catfish/chicken amazing. However the establishment is old run down inside very unclean. Sitting outside with no Proper working fan. Then the worst happen power went out several times. Management was so unprofessional, never communicated the situation, to the guest. sum of our food was missing, and the owner wasn’t accommodating our bill was 400$x and after sitting without power for over 30mins on the heated patio we decided to get up an walk out, we had to ask for our bill.
And Still no apology for the Convenience at all from the owner or manager on stuff. It’s thing like this that make u not wanna support black own businesses. I give them Two stars because the food was good.

Drove from Dallas to Houston for my friend's bday. We had a big section upstairs. The food was everything. I loved it. I don't like lamb chops, but whoever is the cook made me buy a rack. They were the best

Definitely enjoyed my visit, food was great staff were friendly. My waiter Cyani was amazing and patient with my table with all of our indecisiveness. Will be back for another visit.

Long wait with reservation if you don't leave a deposit. Shrimp and grits were a little dry and on the bland side. Good music and service.
