The Sandbar was ok. Nothing special. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered the burger well done, had a lot of pink still. My wife enjoyed the house's special drink. Dining options are outdoor, indoor and rooftop. The views from the rooftop were good. I won't be returning here.

My brother and I were visiting beach and looking for a place to sit, eat, and have a drink. Sandbar was a nice little spot. Bartenders were cool and food and drink was awesome. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent location, excellent service, excellent drinks and excellent food!! For a very busy California beach location it doesn't get any better than this!
The sign above said voted best fish tacos in San Diego so of course we had to stop and check them out! I introduced my husband to fish tacos about 15 years ago and thankfully he's hooked so we sample them all over the world! I ordered the Fish Taco Plate and was able to get one grilled and one fried for the true test! I got them Baja Style which is the basic, nothing fancy. They were both delicious! There is so much fish in these tacos it's unbelievable! The crunchy was my favorite but I'd order one of each again to be able to enjoy both! The taco plate comes with chips, guacamole and beans making it a very filling and satisfying meal! The Strawberry Aqua Fresca was so refreshing and tasty, I definitely would have gotten another one if I wasn't on a bike!! Hubby had the carne asada tacos and said they were some of the best he's had!
Service is super chill, friendly and quick. Our server was very knowledgeable in the menu and was able to answer all of our questions and make sure we got the best meal. I highly recommend Sandbar and will definitely return if in the area!

A great location right by the beach with a friendly wait staff. The TKO style fish tacos & the fried avocado tacos were both ridiculously good and I 100% recommend them, they exceeded expectation and were the best I ate on my vacation. Plenty of vegetarian choices on the menu (next time I want to try the "Mission Nachos" with soyrizo-queso dip) which is awesome. The cocktails were also great after a day at the beach.

Amazing tacos! Tried Juan's street taco, fried fish beach style, and carnitas tko style All were an absolute delight, but the carnitas tko was my favorite. Will very happily come back here again.

Not my favorite ambiance, a bit crowded and loud for me. The tacos are worth enduring anything to taste. Fish tacos TKO style or bust. One of the best in San Diego. Brunch choices are solid. The upper patio and view are great for PB. Burgers are also solid, they cook them to the correct temperature.

Love the location super close to the beach. The wait time was not bad and I would almost give it 5 stars but the service could be better. There were not that many people in the restaurant but our server pretty much was ignoring us. We knew what we wanted and she basically never came back. The soda was flat had to get that changed. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars was because the Carne Asada tots were delicious. Tots cooked to perfection and the seasoning of the Carne asada was good. The wings were mediocre nothing to write home about. Will I visit again? Probably not. But it's good for a quick bite to eat if you have an attentive server.
