A beautiful spot with a cozy vibe and great decor. The food was phenomenal, staff was very friendly, and they even have a pantry to-go menu for some of their popular items like hummus and Israeli pickles

Extremely over priced.
Pros: nice atmosphere & good drink
Cons: extremely overpriced for the quality. A schnitzel so thin shouldn’t be going at 27 bucks. It wasn’t even kosher (per the staff) so not sure what qualifies a little mash potatoes and a thin piece of chicken to be at 27. The Kubeh tasted blend per my friend with me

Came here for a weekday dinner. Pretty crowded both inside and outside. Shared the minced beef meatballs (Kufta) as an appetizer and ordered schnitzel and chicken shrawma as mains. The volume was okay, not too big. Very fresh ingredients, dim light date night atmosphere. Waiters are friendly and let us chat even after we ate.

Overall good restaurant, but misses the mark on a few dimensions.

Most of the appetizers were tasty. But, make sure to avoid the Fried Kibbeh which is bland and completely boring.

The “large” plates were small and not as good as you’d expect based on the appetizers, prices, or other reviews.

The steak was under cooked (and yes, I know how medium rare steak is supposed to be cooked) and not particularly flavorful. The lamb chops were pretty good but I wished there were more than three tiny lamb chops.

Amazing ambience and decor which transport you with an insane array of cocktails with middle eastern themes and spices which most people I went out with enjoyed. Most of the food was quite good but a few things like the Zucchini pasta and charred eggplant were a bit bland and needed S&P. Service was also reasonably good. Ample indoor and outdoor seating.

They also have a couple of classical American dishes like steak and cookies with ice cream for those with reservations.

Of the food we really enjoyed the muhammara, chicken shawarma, seared haloumi cheese and knafeh.

Kubeh in West Village serves middle eastern fare and probably one of the best restaurants that we went to for winter restaurant week 2022. They truly outdid themselves and blew us away!

For restaurant week they offer a few different dining options. We chose the $39 pre fixe that came with an appetizer, main entree, and dessert and the option to pay $22 more for wine pairings.

For appetizers we selected spread tasting of hummus, labneh, muhammara served with warm pita and fried kibbeh. Both dishes are delicious together with middle eastern white wine.

We then proceeded with our entree of chicken shawarma and kofta both dishes were served with basmati rice together with a good glass of red wine.

We then finished the meal with a chocolate date bar and cookie and ice cream with a glass of sparkling white wine.

We enjoyed our dinner here, all the dishes came in a timely fashion. Food is delicious, I particularly liked the crispiness of chicken shawarma. The service is commendable and we didn’t feel rushed at all. This place is a must with or without NYC restaurant week.

I had a lovely time at Kubeh! As a vegetarian there were many options for me ???????? we started with the hummus and fava bean, charred eggplant, cauliflower, and kubeh. All items were nicely done. The veggie kubeh was very flavorful and I liked the green paste that came with the dish. The zucchini pasta was delicious but we didn’t realize it was zucchini noodles. Not a big deal for me but my friend had her heart set on pasta. We had a bottle of wine from Morocco, a Syrah, and it was so delicious. Baklava for dessert was the right level of decadent.

Sustainability rating: 3.5 out of 5. Reusable serving ware was used and paper straws. Not sure if they compost.

It’s my first month in New York as an international student. The staff here was so warm and welcoming, definitely coming here more often. Steven is really sweet.

He helped me order amazing vegetarian dishes, including rosemary mint lemonade, warm cauliflower, and a Middle Eastern dessert — which I don’t have photos of.

I love everything I ate here. They have a chef’s tasting available, which I would definitely recommend.
