Hmmm okay so I’m giving DOMODOMO a 4.5/5 for a few reasons. The service and quality of food was excellent no doubt. We sat outside and the waiter was attentive and alert to our needs. The food also came out fairly quick (which I love ;))

The hot udon was by far my favorite in terms of flavor & execution. The scallop risotto was delicious but the texture of the rice was just a little off for my liking.

The shrimp dumplings had a great flavor - just a tad sweet. Everything else was yummy.. the sushi was extremely fresh & I was able to try a bunch of new flavors.

Oh & the shrimp tempura roll was AMAZING.

All in all DOMODOMO was a good experience but certain aspects missed the mark for the price being charged.

Food was good. It was a great experience, and would definitely go back to try some other stuff on the menu. I wasn't really impressed with all the dishes, which is why not giving a five star.
It's a little bit less pricey than most amakese, but its a great meal for a really good price. Where you can have a similar experience. For less than $50, tried the sushi course & handroll.
The salmon sashimi w/ cabbage salad was by far my favorite ????
Dinner started off really well, so my expectations where somewhat high... the handrolls were not my favored. I tried about 6 different kinds, and to be honest the only one that was delicious to me was the salmon. Also had the 9peice cheft choice sushi... and it was basic. There's only 3 pieces stood out to me.

Obviously great sushi overall, but for the price not sure if it was worth it. The hand rolls were only okay, but the sando was delicious and nigiri excellent. Likely wouldn't come back as there are stronger sushi options in the price range.

One of my favorite meals in New York! Highly recommend the black miso cod and the tobiko pasta—truly unreal. Hand rolls were great as well. You can skip the uni pasta and the oysters.

My friend and I were VERY impressed with this place. The food was nearly all excellent and the service was very fast and the presentation was pretty and the pricing was also not as bad as we’d have expected for the amazing quality. We ordered way more than probably was necessary (4 hot mains, 3 orders of nigiri, 4 hand rolls and 6 oysters) and were quite full. We all but finished everything but we both eat a lot in general. The oysters were so fresh. The squid ink pasta was probably the least exciting - though the yuzu fish roe was a very interesting touch. True to our server’s words, the spicy shrimp dumpling were incredible. They were so interesting with a citrusy chili oil broth. I could drink the broth. The hand rolls were not shaped traditionally and instead were in the shape of a taco. I don’t love this construction because it is easier for one end to squeeze out as you take bites, but the taste was good. The fatty tuna one was the least enjoyable. All in all, we were very satisfied and would 100% recommend to others looking for an upscale but not ridiculous sushi spot!

Fantastic place! We made a reservation for 4 initially, but we had a change of plans and were able to extend the reservation by one person pretty easily. We had the scallop risotto, spicy tuna cone, and sushi and handroll course, which were all delicious. I particularly enjoyed the chef’s selection for the sushi course. Drinks were great, service was excellent as well, although I will say the music was slightly loud sometimes :). Will definitely be returning if I’m ever in the area again! Definitely lived up to its Michelin Bib reputation.

We had the Domokase and everything was great. The tuna cone was definitely a fave though, it was perfect in every way. Great first time experience. The service was phenomenal and everything was brought out in an extremely timely and swift manner.
The ambiance was also nice. Not too loud for conversation. Sadly the dimmer lighting didn't allow for pictures to do the presentation justice.

Great hand rolls and creative sushi!

As a Michelin recommended restaurant, the food here is good as expected.
The hand rolls and sushi here are rather fusion and creative, the combination between fruits and sushi/hand roll is really special.

Came here for the 48-dollar combo menu with sushi and two hand rolls:

In the sushi set, I would recommend the king salmon sushi the most.
As for hand roll, I would recommend the shrimp tempura hand roll the most. The combination between spicy mango sauce and shrimp tempura is really refreshing.

However, this might not be the best choice for people love traditional Japanese sushi, and the price is not that cheap.

Still, a recommended fusion sushi & hand roll bar!

Finally got to try DomoDomo on New Year's Day 2022. It was a last minute decision. Very lucky to get there around 2pm for late lunch. Nice ambiance, friendly and fast service. Ordered the Maitake mushroom and Garlic and bacon fried rice as appetizers. They were tasty. The sushi were fresh and the hand rolls delicious. We will be back with friends.

The outdoor seating was really cute and had these awesome little lamps you could turn on. I had their set course sushi + hand roll menu which I think is pretty good value! The salad is nice and refreshing and I liked the crispiness of the crunch seaweed. The sushi itself was nice since there wasn’t too much rice per piece and each had a unique garnish to it. Overall it was a pleasant meal :) The jelly sake drink was also fun and refreshing.
