Classy old school Italian on the upper east side . Worth a visit. Runs about $100 each if you have 2 glasses of wine

Excellent pre-fix $29 three course lunch. Very nice people and a good service. Tasty baked ricotta in tomato sauce while you are waiting for your order. Try grilled calamari for starters - you will not regret :)

Worst worst worst outdoor setup in the entire city. They take up the entire sidewalk there’s literally no room to walk between the tables especially trying to navigate between their servers and workers it’s disrespectful and selfish. If you don’t have the room to put full tables and chairs outside, then don’t.

The food was fine, sure. But boy was it overpriced (NB: I went for dinner. I gather there is a well-priced lunch menu). I know it's an UES restaurant but still. On the plus side, staff were attentive, place was busy and clearly popular

Stopped by this place after visiting the MET and it did not disappoint. Right after you get seated, they serve you a complimentary bread basket with this marinara and ricotta bowl. Needless to say, these alone were amazing. We tried their Chicken Milanese, Carbonara, and meatballs and everything was pretty good. The Chicken Milanese was a bit underwhelming but when we paired it with the marinara, that was much better imo. Overall a great experience but it is a bit pricey tho!

Wonderful Venetian restaurant. The liver Venetian style and the Lugana wine were perfect. Great ambience indoors, fabulous artwork, and perfect service!

I loved this cozy little cafe. The food was really good. They have a decently priced menu for appetizer/main course/dessert (with slightly smaller portion sizes, nonetheless quite filling) apart from the regular menu which is a bit on the pricier side. The pasta was cooked to perfection - el dante.

The staff is warm and friendly.

I also found the perfect affogato in this restaurant.

If you are looking for a traditional Italian eatery patronized by locals (most of them retired UES Italian Americans) then you’re looking at the right place.
Menu is very extensive and the meat and pasta options outstanding (I have heard mixed opinions about the fish). The wine list is also extensive, and a little pricey.
Only issue with the place: it is too narrow which means that it it also very loud.

Supposedly the baseball player Ichiro used to go here to eat Carbonara. Carbonara is my one of my favorite and their carbonara was pretty delicious. You can tell this is little high end when you see who’s dining when you enter. Very cute decor inside :)
