I am not going to complain about the price (to each their own). What upsets me is how they screwed with my aunt. We had a meal here, my aunt paid and we walked away. The server did not give back her credit credit and we didn't find out about it until the next day. She called and asked if they could have someone drop it off at the hotel (we're tourists without a car). Apparently the woman on the phone said no it wouldn't work for them in the rudest way possible. Basically my beef is that they took my aunt's credit card, didn't try to reach out to her about it within 24 hrs and wouldn't help with the return... So I guess make sure you get your credit card back after the bill and never accidentally forget something at the restaurant because you are not getting it back.

Amazing neighborhood gem. We love walking to Central Park then having a lovely dinner, sitting outside. We had their unique baby artichoke salad, caprese salad and warm chicken balsamic reduction salad. Delicious, Leo, our waiter, was outstanding

Literally the SADDEST salad I’ve ever had, Applebees has better salad than this place. Went in for lunch with my wife they charged us 35$ for a salad that was made with hidden valley ranch. Wont be back and would not recommend.

I was unsure about having dinner at Amaranth based on the reviews but I was completely blown away. The service was excellent and prompt. Great cocktails and a favorite bottle of wine was on the list. Fried calamari and shrimp were excellent but the carpaccio was second to none. The best veal Milanese I've ever had, melted in my mouth. Sea scallops were perfect in a leek and mushroom mustard sauce. I would recommend this to anyone and definitely return.

I had the most amazing lump crabmeat salad. The portions were huge! The delicate sweetness of the crab was perfectly accented by the dressing and the bitterness of the arugula. The pieces of avocado not only added a green creaminess but help the contrast flavors of the sweet citrus.

Great place for lunch with indoors and outdoors sitting. Ask for the shrimps and asparagus truly delicious!

Cozy little bistro on E 62nd just off of Madison. Great for lunch or dinner for 2 or 4. Tight for larger parties - reservations recommended but they are on Open Table. White table cloth and staffed accordingly. Overall very good food and service, priced in line with quality. I would go back. The Bolognese is pictured below.
