What an amazing place and such a delicious meal!!
The restaurant is all the way downtown and the area around it is nice but not crowded if you go during the weekend. One major nit was that their outdoor patio is well heated but not properly setup. My chair was at the edge of the opening and had to have my jacket on during dinner the entire time.
With that said, everything else was perfect. I really liked the touch of an on table taste of the wine to confirm that’s the one we want. My wife tried a few before settling on her wine.
For appetizers we got the arancini (5/5), polenta (4/5) and they served us the house sesame bread. Everything was amazing and I could eat 10 more of the arancini. The calabrese pepper sauce that comes with the arancini is sooo good. I dipped everything in it.
I generally rate Italian places with how well them make their pasta al dente and how well they make cacio e Pepe. While the restaurant passed on creativity and texture on the candele pasta, I wished for more thicker of a sauce and the pasta was a bit too heavy on the pepper for my liking. Overall it’s still a solid dish and I’d give it a 5/5.
For dessert we got the seasonal persimmon jam pie which was super thin and flavorful. I loved the addition of a HEAVY cream dollop that helped balance out the flavors. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite restaurant to relax.
This place makes me happy! Their cocktails are chilling & love all their pastas. Finocchio salad is a must! Every staff member are super lovely & courteous & make you feel at home.

Little bit disappointed.. I think it’s overrated, pastas are really basic and the service very slow .. I would recommend L’Artusi we ate the best pastas there it’s was amazing !!

The service from the moment we walked in was horrific. The hostess gave us a table that was broken and our drinks almost spilled. After ordering food we waited over an hour and a 1/2 for it to be ready and when we got it the food was abysmal. The silverware for the food was placed on the dirty table with no table cloth and the pasta was barely warm and the sauce was terrible. The food and drinks are extremely overpriced for the quality of food, service, and ambience which is provided. Will never be going back!

Great fun Italian joint. Noisy but very hip. Great pastas and I loved the German sausages. All the apps are wonderful as well. Lots of fun to eat here. It seems odd to say, but the olives here were really outstanding as well. We loved this place. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 7 million views in 2021 and we thank you for that. First, allow me to confirm that both the food and ambiance were incredible. Second, I can confirm I will never return. While I am no stranger to expensive lower Manhattan restaurants, this was over the top. Our table for 4 cost $800, where a competing restaurant of similar quality and quantity would have cost $400. The "market price" steak "for 4" cost $170--I could have eaten this steak myself. Similarly, the other gentleman at the table and I were drinking gin on the rocks from a bottle that retails for $35. The restaurant charged us ~$170 for our handful of drinks, i.e the equivalent of 5 bottles of the stuff. Worth noting the manager more or less laughed in our face when we let him know we felt aggrieved. Fantastic food, will never return.

Great service in an awesome atmosphere. Definitely on the expensive side but the cocktails were really well balanced, the dough balls with prosciutto are insanely good and the pasta was delicious.

Overall, my experience here was not ideal. There were a lot of unfortunate mistakes while I was dining there. There was a lot of waiting around as well. However, I was satisfied by the way the management handled the situation and I was able to move on without having any hard feelings.
The fact that all the food we had was excellent helped a lot too!
Despite all, I am definitely going back to try out more of the delicious food on their menu. I just wanted to acknowledge the staff's effort and give a shoutout:))
