Solid food and good prices. Deviled eggs, boudin balls, jambalaya and crawfish mac n cheese all pretty decent.

I was searching for a beer place with some food options when i discovered the Tchoup Shop. The place is on a corner on Wykoff ave. You may drive by and not even see ot. It is dimly lit and intimate. It has an old fashioned look and appeal. The bar is fairly large and they have communal tables in the front. In the back, you have more private tables.

We sat down in the bar area near the back and met Anais the bartender. What a nice person. I got Founders beer onntap and my friend had a nice hurricane. The restaurant is Creole themed. With a small kitchen run by 1 person. The cook really gets things out at a good pace. Ordered the mac and cheese amd the kale salad to start. Both were good. They played an assortment of music to match any crowd. The place has a really nice vibe to it. The most famous item on the menu is the crispy breast of chicken on focccia type bun. I maybe incorrect with the description. The kale salad may a little small but its full of flavor. Nice mix of onions, cranberries and other things really brings out the flavor of the kale.

All in all, a really good spot to grab a quick bite and a brew. They also have a huge assortment of liquors including bourbons, tequilas etc. The staff is very friendly, and you will have a nice time here.

Great cajun menu options, great use of spices and all the classic NOLA ingredients. They also have outdoor bbqs every weekend in the summer. I recommend you bring a cot to prepare for the resulting food coma.

Best Cajun in NYC hands down. I've been to all the other spots and my family is from New Orleans. We know Cajun and Tchoup Shop is it. They take their name from the famous culinary destination in NOLA, Tchoupitoulas St. Seriously, eat here.

This was such great find, definitely tops my list for best louisiana food in NYC.

It has always been a struggle to find restaurants which offer the authentic taste of louisiana cuisine in NYC, so looks like my search has finally come to an end. Looking at the pictures, we specially saved one Saturday to visit Tchoup. We arrived around noon and the place was bustling with brunch crowd. We didn't had to wait long for a table.

Tchoup is divided into two sections, first section has the bar and some seating...the backroom has majority of seating for sit down meals. We ordered duck okra gumbo, crispy chicken biscuit and jambalaya.

Gumbo and crispy chicken biscuit were out of this world, just plain delicious. They were finger licking good. Texture and flavors of the crispy chicken biscuit was one of the best I have had till date. Jambalaya though good but was on a dry side.

Overall food and service was on point, definitely a great spot for brunch. They have DJ's on thursday nights which adds up one more reason to swing by here!!
