Wow, we.picked this place based on reviews and because it was kinda on the way from San Diego to the Lady Gaga concert at Dodger Stadium. The food rivals some of the best Italian places in SD ( no offense Barbusa). The menu is creative and delicious and the service was surprisingly personable. I will go out of my way every time I’m in LA to eat at Barrio.

Barrio has the decor, pasta and wines. A little piece of Italy in East LA. Owner has a great host and pointed me into the right choice for me. We need more of this in other barrios

Barrio is such a cute place for a nice dinner. The ambiance is really great and the service is fantastic. We've been here a few times and the food is always hearty and tasty. The burrata appetizer is my favorite. If getting the Vodka Pasta add mushrooms and sausage as was suggested by our server, does not disappoint!

If you want real Italian food you need to try this spot!!! Not to mention the atmosphere is so nice it feels like you walked thru a portal into a different world . The staff is so friendly and the owner Paulie was nice enough to introduce himself and chat a bit . He also treated us to some cannoli's which were to die for! The mushroom and pancetta pasta was amazing! Big chunks of mushroom and pancetta with a creamy sauce in which you could taste the truffle oil. The shrimp scampi was simple like it should be with a perfect balance of butter herbs and lemon. Big shrimps that's you will be satisfied with. I never thought a spot like this would be so close to home and at such good prices. Try this place and you will feel like family!!!

Really wonderful dining experience last night at Barrio. The food was really great and the service was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend you try this place if you live in the area!
The cannolis are phenomenal!!! Also, try their amazing chili oil.

Had a great Friday-date-night here. The servers were knowledgeable about the dishes and helped us make some good selections. The ambience was very relaxing and calm, which was something we wanted for the night.
Park across the street in the parking lot if you can.
