Tumans Tap and Grill Reviews

UNIQUELY still offering 8 oz single pattie burgers! Rash of two thin patties going around since COVID because they are quicker to cook. I want to pick the temperature when I order a burger and I want it medium rare. Tumans to the rescue!
I've loved this place ever since they upped the food game to gastro pub. It's come a long way from the patio brick floors and empty keg seating of 20 years ago. The mussels were so good I almost ordered a second serving. Amish chicken salad is also quite good. And a massive tap list will satisfy just about any taste. For those still calling it a dive bar, I urge you to reconsider. The food is gastro quality though the ambiance is casual.

Our favorite neighborhood place - to drink, to eat, to catch up with the staff, to take family and friends. A delicious home away from home.

Reasonably priced drinks, neighborhood atmosphere, the type of bars that are disappearing and need to stay to keep Chicago Chicago.

Went for dinner with a group of friends here. It was very busy and usually you would have to wait a while to get any service but the service was top notch and had beers on our table and food ordered within 5 minutes. Food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the roasted amish chicken dinner. I couldn't shut up about how good that plate was for the next two days. Highly recommend Truman's

The mussels and pretzels were BANGIN’! Generous portions, great quality. Nice tap list and my gin & tonic was well done. The place is always packed too which is fun. The atmosphere is outdated and kind of bland, but I don’t care because this place is a Chicago classic and I don’t always want to be at the newest hipster, gentrified, contrived, trendy bar.

Nothing wrong with a humble Chicago pub. Definitely one of the most slept-on spots on Chicago Ave!

Awesome local spot with huge rotating selection of local beer and great deals on bourbon. Their food is end to end solid bar food and surprisingly good brunch options.

Bonus, they don’t mind my 1 year old roaming the bar cruising for chicks.

Things haven't changed. Tuman's is still a great late night bar with an underated menu. Charcuterie platter served with some great sweet and savory pairings. The red wine cheese is spectacular. Need something from the grill? Try the Calamari, wonderfully charred and perfectly cooked on a bed of greens, ask for the pesto on the side. Kids of all ages love the tomato bisque and grilled cheese. Truly outstanding.

Food was pretty good we got the streak sandwich and fish and chips which was a lent special. Atmosphere is nice. The place was busy and not enough staff so service was slow. And we got charged an extra $3 to add onions to our sandwich which I thought was weird. Who charges $3 for onions?
