Went in for happy hour and they only have a few items on that menu and they were drinks. No food. I ordered an appetizer (tako tacos) and the rice less lobster roll. They were both very tasty. The interior was very nice and there was outside seating as well.
In Chicago for the weekend and this restaurant was the best one in the city. The service was fantastic. Our waitress gave great recommendations and always checked in after dishes were brought out. We were not rushed despite them being at full capacity. We ordered the eggplant appetizer, the spicy tuna, the spicy scallop roll, and the beef bop. The best was the appetizer and beef bop. Very fresh and filling.

Wonderful inventive authentic Japanese food. Could be on the streets of Tokyo with that sort of hipster vibe. Service was perfect. Food perfect. Interesting menu with the usual favorites too. Lobster, I’ve decided, is more of a texture than a flavor. The Japanese chocolate - served on rocks. ????

Checked out Sushi-San last week for lunch and ordered the lunch set which includes miso soup, salad, and two specialty options. For my specialties, I got the tuna trio nigiri and raw tuna rice bowl. The miso was creamy and flavorful. The salad was refreshing. The two tuna specialties were fresh with tender pieces of fish. In the tuna trio was a nigiri that had spicy tuna on top of crispy sticky rice. It was a surprising blend of textures and flavors. Overall, a great combination at a decent price.

Amazing quality for the price point! Drinks were also wonderful. Menu is simple, but every item we got was flavorful, dynamic, and well-balanced.
Drinks were fantastic as well! Great spot for a date night or a dinner with friends/family.

I’d like to start off with how amazing it was to come here for dinner! I had come here for my mothers 50th birthday and I don’t regret it at all! The area is very clean and organized. The food was outstandingly tasty! For the quality of the food to me it’s 100% worth the buck. I recommend the Salmon & Avocado sushi, my new favorite sushi roll! The staff were awesome and very caring (my mother had left her glasses as we left and our waiter had even turned them in for us to pick up!) If your craving some sushi or looking for something new to try, this is the spot 10/10!

This place has great ambience, restaurant style seating with ample space available inside and summer seating outside, I was sitting at the bar since it was a full house. the bar seems to be really busy. The quality of food is excellent! If you are a sushi and sashimi lover this place is an absolute must visit.

One of the best sushi restaurants in Chicago. We ordered the crunchy avocado, tempura shrimp, truffle shiitake and green beans. Everything was spot on, especially loved the charred flavor of the green beans. The server was helpful since it was our first time at the restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience, I’ll highly recommend.

Great experience. Make sure to snag a reservation if you want a table. We were lucky to get two spots on the bar on an early Friday evening. The edamame was good although I wasn't expecting it to have a spicy kick. We tried 4 different types of sushi rolls. For dessert we got the black sesame cheesecake and the fluffy pancakes. Both amazing.

This place is expensive but with a good reason. Your paying for the best tasting sushi in the whole city. Most places will have low end or even fake fish. This place loves their own food too much to give their own customers messed up fish. Love and respect lives here and you can see it in everyone's faces once you step in. Thanks guys for making my short vacation worth every moment.

BEST SUSHI IN CHICAGO. I love this place. I’m a HUGE Lettuce Restaurants fan because their hospitality is always top notch. They have some incredible dishes here that are fun to share with others. The spicy scallop maki-san roll was my favorite!

I love this place. Super underrated for the quality, excellent service, vibe, and price point. Very affordable and the flavors are delicious and creative!! Fish is great quality too. Im usually not a fan of virtual menus, but I LOVED that sushi-San used the virtual aspect of it to attach pictures of each dish so you have an idea of what’s coming. I wish every restaurant did this.
We got drinks and basically ate until we exploded, and somehow the bill fell just under $100 for two of us. I can’t wait to come back and try all the stuff on the menu that we were too full for. Highly recommend!
Do not miss: the octopus tacos, spicy tuna crispy rice, the beef n bop, Japanese breakfast

Great meal. Solid service. Good ambiance.
Sushi was great
Vietnamese grilled pork was not bad but too burnt.
Lobster was awesome.
Eggplant was good but you need to eat it quick or else the breading isn’t good when cold.
Sticky rice sushi was very good. Both options.
